Not really. If that's the case then neither is RE5 since it went off the rails with the dumbass Oroborous nonsense. I like the idea of them adding new types of virus out to allow new bioweapon types. Keeps it fresh. Plus how Miranda tied into Umbrella was one of the best "oh wow" moments I've had with the series.
