I like to think that the Dragon Ball franchise ended with Majin Buu and then the after-years with Goku going away to train with that little black kid. That was a perfect send-off for the cast.
Instead, this whole thing feels like one massive fan fiction gone wrong: Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, Ultra Instinct, etc.
