DO NOT READ PAST THIS IF YOU ARE UPSET BY GRAPHIC WORDING

My brother described to me a car accident that he witnessed the aftermath of when he was in high school in the 80s.

Two buddies (also high school students at my bros school) were out cruising, driving too fast, when they came up on a curve too quickly. They slide and crashed into the beginning of the guard rail. Well, the guard rail speared through the front of the car, going through the driver seat and perfectly out of the back window.

The passenger was completely unharmed, physically physiologically he was ruined for life when he looked over and saw his best friends lower half setting in the seat, but his upper half (what was left of it) hanging out the back window via speared through guard rail.

My brother didnt see the crash happen, but he came up on it shortly after. The survivor was in some sort of trance-like state, not responding to anyone. He came back to reality, eventually, but unfortunately he ended his own life several years later. I guess the image haunted him and he just couldnt deal with it.

But yeah, car crashed dont care and they are some of the most random things. We have all seen pictures of completely obliterated cars and then we were like yeah, that guy is gonna look like he went through a meat grinder but nope, mostly unharmed. And then another pic of a car with comparatively minimal damage but the people didnt survive.

Anyway, stay safe out there. You cant stop random, but you can sure as heck not encourage it.
