Okay, you got me. I get why people care. I just think its stupid to do so and especially to label someone a racist just because they say a slur. You're saying that the word itself is racist and not the context where it is used to demean people of a certain race. If it doesn't matter if you say the n-word in a bout of gamer rage or directly to a black person to insinuate your disgust with their person, what's the point of distinguishing between the two situations?

What an amazingly counter-productive approach to battle racism to give that much power to a word and then waste all your energy fighting against the power you've just given it instead of allocating that energy to fighting the sentiment in the second example.
