The native girl I spoke to didnt know the word either. But I learned the word from girls from different islands or areas like Bukidnon or Valencia.
If that's the case then it might be a different dialect and not Tagalog.
EDIT: If they were from Bukidnon, it wouldn't be Tagalog...at least I wouldn't think so as that's in Mindanao. Way South.
