Given just how quickly every Smash pro dropped NASB and their feedback, it looks like that gameplay was extremely over hyped and was actually awful. Just because you have wave dashing, doesn't mean the gameplay is good.
The gameplay IS good, the most commonly praised thing about NASB is the gameplay. The thing that holds it back was polishing, lack of crossplay, wonky online stuff, etc. Nick Brawl is still looking better to play because it's faster and has more options. Multiversus got rid out of shield and grab buttons.
