Don't forget the Kanji, or else you're just asking if they speak Japan! The point might get across, but sounds more than a little silly. Incidentally, I went out for sushi lately and the restaurant made the opposite mistake, offering a sushi roll that spoke the Norwegian language.

To the topic creator, Japanese will kick your ass on a daily basis and will inevitably wear you down, but even when it gets tough, just keep hanging in there and make it a daily routine no matter how exhausted and frustrated you get. Learning to enjoy the learning process rather than purely exercising your willpower for the end goal of whatever you want to learn Japanese for can be pretty essential since it's a serious commitment and will likely take quite a few years before you have any semblance of mastery over it.

Little by little, things will start to make sense. At which point, they'll stop making sense again and you realize just how little you know and it will kick you in the ass again, but you get used to that routine after the first twenty or so times. And then you meet with some Japanese friends and the only thing you can muster is a weak ... every now and then inbetween your sobs.

Or, wait, maybe that's just me.
