Not sure where would be a more appropriate forum to post this topic.

So firstly, this is mostly in response to latest events of people like Todd Rogers and Billy Mitchell's. Apparently the people accusing them of cheating are now being accused of cheating, and this really isn't new in the world of Twin Galaxies. People are always accused of having fake runs, while cheaters are getting away with high scores/best runs for months, even years that it may as well be a wild west.

So my idea does require a lot of cost, and effort, but I believe it could actually turn into a self-sustainable business over time. Basically you have an organization that sets up events where people go in to set records, that are not only streamed live, but have hardware that multiple people check to make sure all hardware used to set records is legitimate. And multiple ways to verify that no cheating is going on (well it'd be a live event) My idea is to have it go so far as to the people setting the records can't even bring their own controller/game console/game..etc.., just to be extra sure. I also understand the idea that you can never not have any cheating. If people wanna cheat they will still find ways to cheat here, the point of this it's trying to make it a lot harder for people to cheat and set high scores.

These records set don't become the official best times ever necessarily, just the best times/scores the organization has. Meaning that bigger name people would be willing go to these events and you'll see lots of records being broken all the time.

Then of course you have this broadcast on twitch, and with a lot of viewers and sponsorships, overtime, it's possible for this event to bring in a ton of money for the business to make back. Of course.. how the event will work, like how many stations are setup at once, how much is being streamed at once (while still being checked to make nobody is cheating during runs)

I feel like the future of score keeping in gaming will naturally going to come down to something like this anyway. Cause people are always talking about how you have to set scores live, with everyone seeing. Well especially the old arcade guys. And yes, you can argue that there are other events that exist like this already, but they wouldn't exactly be the same. In my opinion those events have created enough traffic and interest that something like this can actually be viable anyway, cause there is apparently a huge interest in this sort of thing.

And of course I don't own this idea. If you want to start an organization that does this, I think it'd be cool, especially if you could eventually become big enough to bring out the big name players and have everyone perform live.
