I just will never understand brake checkers and their thought process. If you see a reckless idiot driving dangerously right behind you, too close to safely stop if you suddenly hit the brakes, why on earth would you hit your brakes and invite them to hit and possibly kill you? Yeah, youre probably legally in the right and insurance will likely pick up the bill, but what sounds better: you get out of the idiots way and go about your day, or you tap your breaks and the idiot slams into you and sends you careening into a pole?
