Uhh...yeah, it is? Been working 4 going on 5 years. Have done this for that much time because the nametag will often get knocked off if I put it on my chest, and it's much more visible right next to my face where people will be looking if they request it. Lol. Name tags must be visible when a customer is facing you. And even if my body is tilted, I face the customer when I speak so they'll always see my name.
How is it soft quitting? Because I didn't realize we had extra(about 10 more) in the back? Because I didn't give him some items(that we can get in trouble for giving out)for free?

And in number of those places it is the employees who load up pizzas for themselves using left over toppings.
We never have leftover toppings, and we aren't allowed to take food home for ourselves unless we paid for it or it was a cancelled order. Boss is very strict about this.

On the flipside, it becomes totally legal if you donate to an organization that then passes the food off to strangers. A lot of super markets will do that, handing out food that hits the "sell by" date. But you still end up with stores tossing about 300 lbs of product per day as either garbage or compost as well.
Yeah, we partnered with a local organization and the company gets tax breaks because of it. We just have to record how much we 'dispose' of, tag it and bag it. They pick it up every few days.
