Its hilarious that they have to tell lies that literally no one would believe. Like, forgetting how to talk is not a thing that happens when you are a lightheaded. They aren't saving face here, they are just telling a bold lie and hoping right wingers will go along with it because that's often what they do, except, even they don't particularly like McConnell.
