You can get a super easy 40 per week by doing the HW and SB weekly hunts and trading in the seals. Apparently you straight up drown in tickets if you do weekly BLU content but I haven't leveled mine yet. :(

So I'm reading the blog post on maintenance that went up this AM and it looks like they allocated more servers to reduce the 2002 errors? Has anyone run into them today?

There's also going to be another maintenance at some point on the 8th but they haven't said when yet.

Finally have a little more free time in my life, so gonna jump back to this! Still in early Stormblood if I remember correctly (avoided all earlier spoilers!), so I'll catch up eventually! Did indeed get Endwalker also.

i've been getting 90006 all day

i.e. you lag out and d/c from in-game

i was getting them in the morning, logging back in immediately and getting more, so i gave up.

just d/ced mid-expert roulette and now am in a 5000 queue.

you are likely to have trouble logging in unless you do so between like 4am to 12pm est. there are massive login queues, and you can sometimes bug out and crash, which loses your queue spot unless you re-open the game immediately and re-queue

Yeah, Praetorium is way more relaxing than Castrum. It feels like a good way to take a break from the game in a way, haha.

Part of my problem is probably that I've been mostly trying to give Map completion XP to a side job, but I feel like that shouldn't be enough to make the difference. Not sure how you get get to 90 partway through 87 MSQ without doing any side content tho.

Started a 4300 queue and lost my place at 2000 (first time I've lost my place since I think Friday?) and back to a 4800 queue

I'm level 86 Machinist and I just finished the 83 trial and all I've been doing is enough FATEs to get the riding map in each zone (about 5-7 per zone). I've been doing side quests on Paladin (82) and roulettes on Sage (just hit 80).

Unless XP slows down MASSIVELY I don't understand how you can possibly be level gated unless you literally are just doing nothing except MSQ.

I saw an EXP buff that was "major increase to Fate EXP" at one point and I'm not sure where it came from, think you may have had that?

Also I just noticed that they decided to get rid of 4 Monk positionals instead of 2??

There's both a (single-use) buff from defeating Forlorn Maidens that appear randomly and also FATEs themselves can have EXP bonuses.

And I dunno about anyone else but I gave up on getting the riding maps. I managed to snag Garlemald's because I was in there for quite some time, but in the other zones the fates die way too fast relative to how long it takes you to get to them to bother.

It takes like 15 minutes to do enough FATEs to get the riding maps and you can't fly until you get all the aether currents anyway so why wouldn't you?

I've also had no problems getting to FATEs in time to get credit for them.

It's really just for QoL as you're doing the MSQ, especially in the split zones. Except it doesn't improve quality of life if they're more of a pain in the ass to unlock in the first place.

Shadowbringers didn't really have this problem outside of the final zone, but they were a bit more...creative with the area design this time around

Zone 4 is the only one I find rough before flying. The funnel in the middle of Rak'tika is annoying to this day even without flying and kind of ruins that area for me, and the first half of The Tempest is just AWFUL.
