The fans didn't know how to react because they weren't expecting something like that with the New Day to happen. Not to mention the Brood were not as popular as WWE/some fans like to make them out. Edge/Christian only started getting big as a tag team once they split from Gangrel and started fighting the Hardyz/Dudleyz.

It works better here with Edge because longtime Edge fans will remember the reference to his earlier days than the average fan (who may not have watched the Attitude Era) on halloween night.

With that said, I now kinda want everyone to just come out to the Brood entrance now.

Every now and then WWE get something right. Edge being so pissed at Seth Rollins and just repeatedly slamming his head into the Mat before choking him out to end the match was the perfect storytelling.

Rollins is playing a slimy little weasel so it kinda fits.

Its honestly better than his 2015 run for heeling. Mostly because they stopped making him be HHH-lite and according to him, he's not scripted anymore.

In the beginning of Cena/Roman, now. All Cena's 1-2-3s are clownish. Then I thought... man, how great would it be if there was a Legends night on the Road to WrestleMania with a Doink in full costume and character who drops the champion towards the end of show and it turns out to be Cena or some other retyrn.

Why didnt they just let Apollo drop the belt to Nakamura at SummerSlam? They wasted time on stuff like

- the Olympians segment where no one came out to heel it up. If I'm Silver Medalist Chad Gable I'm hoping that Gold Medalist Gable Stevenson guy doesnt decide to be a pro wrestler in WWE.

- the Miz and Morrison stuff with Xavier where Xavier was cosplaying as Scott Hall for...reasons? I liked his pants but it was never explained why he did it except to make the Hall pun.

PWinsider is reporting that Adam Cole is officially gone from WWE. Nothing saying he's signed with AEW yet but that seems the next logical step.

Adam Cole update:

It was noted earlier today that Adam Cole had not renewed his WWE contract and was a "free agent" as per pwinsider.com, however, to be more accurate, he is still under an agreement until Friday, August 27 as per multiple sources but first reported by fightfulselect.com. As such, Cole is not technically a free agent and for those wondering, would not be able to appear on any AEW programming should he decide to sign there. The report further adds that with three days left between today and his official contract end date, WWE is expected to continue working to sign him by making at least one more offer, however, internally officials are resigned to the fact that he is almost surely done with the company.

I mean, their response to AEW kicking NXT's ass is to make it into OVW and trying to recruit failed football players and bodybuilders again. There is no "upping their game." They're just gonna have to stumble into another Rock or Cena by this method because they sure as hell aren't gonna win over most wrestling fans anymore.

Eh 5 years is the proper timespan imo. If they continue to decline the TV deals arent gonna be what they were this time around.

Plus Peacock is almost certainly going to fail as a platform in that time frame which is gonna be fucking devastating for wwe in its current form
