This is the sequel to The Silver Case which I finished up last year, bought it while it was on sale after finishing the original game because I liked it enough. The game follows a new area called the 25th ward built nearby the original 24 wards found in the original game, and follows three groups within the new ward; the storyline Correctness follows the Heinous Crimes unit of this ward, Matchmaker follows a government branch known as the Regional Adjustment Division, and Placebo once again follows Tokio Morishima doing his own investigation in the 25th Ward. Like the original game, the Placebo storyline is definitely the best written storyline, especially the final chapter Yuki, which was made specifically for this remake's release. Also, if you do play this, it's recommended to alternate between the storylines to get the full impact of the story, as several characters will appear in multiple storylines and it will get confusing to follow otherwise. I felt the game in general wasn't as good as the original Silver Case, but it's still an enjoyable read overall.

There aren't many miscellaneous trophies this time around due to having three storylines as opposed to the two in the original, and they wanted to keep 25 trophies + platinum to reference the 25 wards. However, the route to the platinum is extremely extended due to the final chapter, which has a huge choice wheel of 100 choices each leading to a separate ending. With no way to fast forward the text of the final chapter to go very fast (the best you can do is hold down the X button) this takes about eight to ten hours just to run through all options, and there's a short epilogue after the 100th ending is read.

This was the second of the three platinums I had planned for the end of the month, along with Root Double's platinum last week. Might expand that to four platinums, as another game is approaching the end as well.

I was actually looking at this earlier as its on sale

Edit: my bad, it wasn't on sale but it was in the Related Games section of games that were. And it piqued my interest.

Should probably play the original first.

A friend of mine is in the first 20 achievers for this platinum on psn profiles. Im going to be playing all of the games in this series soon so I might try for platinum when I get to 25th Ward.

I didn't mind too much, some of the endings gave a clear finish, others were actually funny to play through. I did it over the course of two weeks, so I took a lot of breaks between runs.
