If I work at a grocery store as a cashier, and volunteer for bathroom duty once a week, and the one day its my day to clean the bathroom, and someone shits all over the walls, the floor, the ceiling and everywhere else, and I said nope, I resign from bathroom duties...do you think Id keep my job? FUCK. NO. Theyd fire my ass without question, because I left when I was needed most, and left them stuck with a mess on their hands. This would hold true in just about any serious/semi-serious situation, in any workplace.

The cops in Buffalo that resignedbecause they disagreed with the punishment two guys got (suspensions, mind you...not fired) for hospitalizing a 75 year old man who did nothing wrongshould in no way shape or form be allowed to continue working as police officers.

It looks like they might be facing charges too. The old man is apparently stable. Im honestly surprised his story is getting the coverage that it is, but Im glad its getting attention.

Yeah. This irritates me the most because my father is 73. Hes stable, and pretty healthy, but if he was knocked down like that, itd for sure fuck him up.

like, dude...there is a second video, taken from the other side of the street, and you can see everything in wide angle, like actually see his head smash the ground. From across the street...across the street...you can hear his head smack the pavement. It sounds like a cantaloupe splitting open. Shit is hard to watch.

Also, I forgot to mentionthe reason he approached the cops; he found a piece of police riot-gear on the ground (a helmet), and was handing it over to the police.

They then had had the nerve to say he tripped and wasnt pushed down, even with multiple cameras on them when it happened.

Its like the cops around the states are all cyborgs, with no fuckin humanity...theyve only ramped up their brutality since the protests started, not toned it down. Smh...

So, theyre cops...but they signed up to do riot control. So, they resigned from riot control, but are still police officers. Thats what my initial post rant is about. They shouldnt be able to keep their fuckin jobs.

Ok sorry I didn't know that aspect. I thought they fully resigned from the force, not just for riot control. Though honestly less cops at the protests may be for the better.
