My cat threw up again today

it was mostly red liquid

so its now a combination of what was wrong with her and then her being okayish

do yall have any idea whats happening here

I don't want to pay for another vet visit where they tell me they have no idea either

Don't have any advice myself sorry. I'm only at a family vet so we don't really see all of the things. Ulti might know but even then it can be really difficult to give specific advice on symptoms unless it's a commonly seen thing.

what are you feeding her? just give her a few sips of water at a time and a spoonful of rice and she if she can keep that down. if she doesnt puke, start to add a little more food day by day and monitor her. I also had a kitten die in a similar manner back in the day, its painful if theres nothing you can do

Sorry to hear. I'm reading this atm because I woke up in the middle of the night with a heartburn attack, which is scary in its own right. But at least I can articulate my problems to others. Cats...yeah. I'm not a vet so the best I can do is wish you the best.

The red was around the same color as.her kibble so I didn't think it was blood. My concern is that it's liquidy again. And well, the fact she's throwing up still

I'm feeding her a brand called kit and kaboodle.

I've had her since August so I'm not entirely sure if it's the food. And none of the other cats reacting poorly to it either. Then I started to think maybe it's the tap water but again, none of the other cats we are reacting this way. I started feeding her just a little bit at a time.

She just threw up again

Red liquid with a chunky paste

At first I thought she goes just over eating. The problem is I can't feed them all individually. Have to feed all eight cats at the same time. So I thought was happening is sometimes they don't eat their whole portion so I assumed she was just going around finishing everyone's plates. But this time I fed them all half the portion so there would be no leftovers. She still threw up right now

This food is finishing up anyways so I'll try to get something different. I wonder if there's any food specifically to be easy on the stomach

As for water, as I said, I give them tap water. And I keep it in a gallon Auto feeder that I bought from the pet store. Every time it empties out I wash it with soap and clean it really good.

For the cat thats puking, she shouldnt be eating or drinking basically more than what can keep her alive right now. and she def shouldnt be eating kit and kaboodle when shes this sick. keep her quarantined and give her a spoonful of very soft rice and just a few sips of water in frequent intervals. You're only prayer is she can hold that down for the day.

theres two things that linger on my mind

I've read somewhere that you're not supposed to use plastic dishes for water

and I got this auto feeder for the cats because I have so many now

aaaand Spring water is a-okay to give to animals

all i can think of is maybe its the tap water and her stomach, and just her's, is sensiive to it

I got this little dish, I bought some Orzarka spring water (not distilled) and see if she still vomits

i'm at the end of my rope here

the vets can't help me

I can't find anything on this

I'm now considering putting her down now
