Sothis wins if the entire team stopped playing on the 11.8x. However, everyone knows that won't happen so no one actually stops playing.

Although, this isn't a true dilemma since you can cheat and play on the 11.8x and only commit your points after the next hour already started. On top of that you can cancel the commit and get the 12x should the miracle occur. So gameplaywise, there's absolutely no reason to commit your points during the 11.8x hour but casual players don't know this.

true, i guess in that sense you could call people casual. i used to actually do this but then i stopped caring enough to bother (and it became obvious it's never going to work).

Just for feathers it probably isn't worth the effort. But the updates from the AHR matches gave me the impression that a fair number of people were trying it. Like Sothis got 6.4 billion during the 11.8x hour and 3.2 billion off the 3.25x final hour. That's not normal. It wasn't enough but in a slightly more favourable situation it could have meant the difference between Sothis or Altina winning. With that said, who knows if there will ever be another VG like this to try it out.

Just went on an emotional rollercoaster.

As you've probably guessed, I pulled for Bernadetta. 3*s coming out like the ratios were never switched. Green > Red > Blue was the preference when colorless didn't appear. Eventually forced to pull Red, and I get Lysithia...

Just kidding, red never gives focus. I got Nah. Bonus Doubler for Nino. We take those.

More pulling, at near 4% Tethys and Mercedes start getting scary. Good news is those don't pitybreak me. The bad news is that Bow Hinoka is. I'm less than happy, don't care if she's +Atk she was two seconds away from being feathered off.

Took 50 orbs out of the bank and near the end, all of it became worth it. Bernie showed up. (+Hp/-Def)

So got the focus unit I want and got the fodder I've been wanting for Nino. Today is a good day.

I still have an extra Nah ready to be foddered, but can't think of anyone who really wants bonus doubler. Nah probably wants distant counter more than bonus doubler herself.

My free tickets gave me nothing, and I'm not planning to pull more. Ferdinand is my favorite, and he'll come naturally.

So how do resplendents work

Like I have the Sophia nature I want saved but I think the resplendent has +2 all stats and different art right? So like if I merge her into the nature I want to use does she lose her art and +2 stats I'm not sure how it all works.

Getting the resplendent hero gives you a neutral 5* copy of them and turns all other copies on your account (and any you might pull in future) into the resplendent version as well. This persists after the FEH pass expires too, so merging wouldn't lose anything. You can revert them to their original art if you want, but they'll keep the stats regardless.

this, btw, is contrary to the other $$$-only feature just implemented, which lets you buy a unit you built in hall of forms with all the skills you added, but without merges and you cannot use as SI or merge fodder. so if there's a unit you want to build being featured, you can get all the SI you want for them more easily but you're stuck with a neutral nature forever.

Anyway, this is the easiest skip of my life(Granted the only Easter banner I even pulled for was the ones with Veronica and Bruno). Would be nice if I could free pull Bunny Est because I love her VA, but colorblocking on a 4 man banner is an automatic hell no.

Duo Idunn nullifies dragon weakness with her duo ability, so at the very least we don't have to deal with that shit while on offense.Yet.

Which should mean we'll get a free/4* dragon because Exp skills are one of the least wanted skills in the game.

Easter Bartre has odd atk wave. I can't help but imagine how happy I would be... if I didn't already sac a Ishtar to her a year ago(Which is why I'm so glad I got over my "Can't sac my only copy" mentality. Imagine waiting until 2020 for that).

Sadly no Est as a bonus unit. Fae and Bartre are the easy f2p options. After that is Idunn, and of course the new Easter units.

still haven't gotten over that mentality. the only 5* exclusives i've ever sacrificed for SI are Takumi and Hector lol, and just 1 of each. nbd in this particular instance though. i spd-refined Nino and always use her with atk tactic. maybe if we get a spd tactic seal and i have to use her apart from LAzura i will care about it.

i think i have an Idunn sitting at level 1 that i've never used. i've actually never used Fae either, but i guess i may as well for this event. though already 3 of my 7 +10s are green.

Speaking of Spd Tactic, why do we still not have it... Odd Atk Wave fodder and Death Blow (finally!) are great though, and this is why TT+ is one of my favorite events because it also means free Dragonweed. Now I don't have to spend a ton of grails on Delthea if I want Atk Wave fodder since she's at +9. I'm hoping she'll come back for the revival series like last year

I conveniently got pity-broken by Idunn when going for Igrene, and she's +Res/-Spd, which is probably the best she could have asked for. 49/44 Def is great, but the tradeoff is being unable to counter at range

Spent 13 orbs on the new banner and got two 5* Narcians. Lucky me! I had a good laugh about it, but at least now I have a bonus unit for the upcoming Tempest Trials.

I've sucked it up without a bonus unit until getting the free 5* bonus before. It's not too bad, I don't have time to get higher ranks anymore

I think there are ten or eleven 5* exclusives I no longer have due to skill inheritance. Hector and Brave Ike are only ones that I've foddered more than one of. I pulled an off banner Leo a few months ago that saved me 20k feathers on Quick Riposte. I can't believe that still isn't unlocked by a 4* unit yet.

My +10 Fae will be my tempest bonus this time.

In other news, it looks like the 6k seal got replaced with 50 limited time Divine Codes. Which is fine because the first seal was usually trash anyway(Who gives a shit about Defiant Res?). Now if only they could thin out some of those universal crystals...

No one is going to miss those outdated skills as Sacred Seals, but the mixed stat boost Seals are semi useful and can be replaced with the crystals

If they're all for a month, you'll have four different seasonal banners running at any point in time. Never mind any overlap that happens with new hero banners and other special banners (which would also have their old yearly versions running as well)

Spring banners really are underwhelming though. Granted I did pull back when for one of the Askr siblings as well as Veronica or Bruno(Got Bruno), but those are for the character than the theme.

Now Halloween? That usually baits the hell out of my orbs.

I don't see what kind of refine Eirika can get that would trump bladetome, and honestly, Ike and Ryoma are in need of a refine more, and as far as ranged horses go, L'Arachel needs a refine badly, at least to get rid of her silly tome boost. It is good to see them slowly releasing Grail refines, but I wish it wouldn't come at the expense of a regular refine. No one cares about a 3-man banner for these things

I knew it was going to be a colorless tome mythic, but couldn't have expected Bramimond. Him not weilding Apocalypse or being effective against dragons is lame, and his C-skill doesn't seem that great

i actually have half the units in the VG. i like the bunny outfits and the peg sisters. though Palla was the only one i actively tried to get. i got Catria while going for Kagero and Veronica while going for Palla. then a second Catria from a legendary banner, who's conveniently still sitting at level 1 (Palla is also level 1 because i just got her).

Haha no way, I always loved Bramimond from his brief appearance and thought it would be so cool if they added him to Heroes. Never would have thought he'd get in before Athos though.

Though I'm guessing you're not ruling out blue because of the Aureola tome? It would certainly be boring if he just came with Stronger!Forblaze.

Or invalidate Res tanks everywhere by giving him the Luna tome. Have it work exactly like it did in the GBA games.

Yea, he comes with Aureola, Forblaze, and I don't remember if he comes with a staff, and with Forblaze's spotlight already stolen, he'd either come with Aureola or a colorless tome. Luna tome would be sick.

Aureola had sick animation. Man, the GBA games had this unique style of animation that was never replicated again and I really miss it. The way Sages cast their magic circle before they attack and spin around afterwards is a really nice touch. To this day, I'm still puzzled by how there hasn't been a BB/BB remake since Roy's game has never made it stateside and Lyn, Hector, and Eliwood are so popular

Yeah. As much as I love a lot of critical quotes, the animations from the GBA games were just amazing. There's fan favorites like the Swordmaster and Warrior(I also like how the recruit characters in FE8 have clumsy crit animations to show their inexperience), but mages critting had some nice touches too.

Combine that with the longer tome animations for endgame magic and it really added to the "impact" of the spells.

...Unfortunately that also includes when you're the one getting critted. Like just look at how long Lyon makes you watch your character die if he gets a crit. There's no pressing start to skip to the end here!
