I actually thought they were all pretty fun and good back then. Better than most the garbage that is released today.

They still exist, they just make them exclusively for smartphones.

Willow, Batman, Goonies II, New Ghostbusters 2, Gremlins 2, all good movie-licensed Nes games.

You're just not looking in the right places. Shovelware that they are, they tend to be on the platform with the cheapest games (NES, Game Boy, PlayStation, PS2, Wii, DS are all good examples of this).

That Mad Max game from a couple years ago was pretty good. Bit repetitive, though.

There's a few Star Wars and LotR games that are fun.

The Rocketeer game for NES (which James and Mike started playing today) I thought was pretty fun. It is actually not that difficult as long as you only use the rocket pack at certain times. The SNES version of that game is HORRIBLE though, avoid at all costs.

I also owned Batman as a kid, which is probably the best movie game I ever played. Never beat it (without Game Gene) though, always got stuck on the last level.

The X-Men Origins: Wolverine game was leagues better than the movie. Which isn't all that surprising considering what a train wreck the movie was.

Few things:

1) They're *still* making movie games

2) A lot of them were pretty good.

Yes, that one was decent. I also preferred X2: Wolverine's revenge to the second X-Men film, although it's worth noting that X2 was more a tie-in in terms of name since it thankfully used the comic appearances of the characters *including* the Juggernaut who was butchered in X3.
