In our society, there's no question that pedophilia is disgusting and harmful to the child... but perhaps, in some way, that's because it's considered so.

You have a fairly valid argument in some sense but it's completely wrong for the simple fact that adults may think its wrong for rational reasons, but children, especially young children who don't understand sex inherently know that these things shouldn't be happening.

I'm not talking teens, but young children, 5-8ish range. They don't know what sex is, and they don't know what there genitalia is for other than thats where pee comes out of. But all of them are extremely traumatized when they are abused. When they are being molested they know it shouldn't be happening even if they don't know why so you can't say that they are taught that it's wrong.
