Part 4

Fast forward 6 hours and RJ and the rest show up to bail me out.

I ask about my car, it turns out it's impounded until further notice. Luckily the following day I had a hearing about when my official trial was supposed to happen, (which turns out to be April 30th). But I had to explain to the court about my car/traveling issue since I got class in 2 days I have need to go back to Michigan ASAP.

Now, lets go back in time to the ride back to Long Island when all 5 of us are in RJ's Ford Focus.

I am furious about what happened, and for some reason Mike has a grin on his face.

"I know that you set this up Mike!" I yelled at him as soon as we got to the highway since I didn't want to get assault and battery charges outside the jail.

Mike: What makes you say that?
Me: Because Chris Hanson told me of the chat log, and you were the only one who used the chat that one day to talk to your "cousin".
Mike: I have no clue what you are talking about *he says it in a awkward way*

Since I'm sitting behind him in the car, I throw an elbow to the back of his head, "You aren't fooling anyone" I snapped. He grabs the back of his head, he didn't even retaliate. It was silence on the ride back.

Fast forward again after the hearing, I get my car and pay a stupid fee for something that made no sense (I just wanted to get out of Jersey so I didn't care). I head back and pack up my stuff and then I say my goodbyes and head home. Before I left I told Mike I'll make sure to meet him again sometime.

Now, I get back late sunday night, hit the hay and went to class monday. After my classes I contacted an attorney.

I gave him all of the information of what happened to me. It turns out that Mike chatted to "Casey" that night he said he was gonna chat with his cousin. The time of the messages sent was around 8:30pm-9:30pm.

In the chat logs he uses MY NAME (Real name, not yahoo alias) instead of his. Well, the odd thing is that I went out to National City's atm at that time and we were able to get a video tape of me standing in the drive-thru atm (since my drivers window doesn't go down) getting money out.

Most of this stuff took a couple of weeks to get, but at least we got the evidence showing that I did not try to solicit young children on the internet. However, I didn't have enough evidence at the time to prove that Mike was the one who did all the online chatting.

Besides the evidence the attorneytold me what to say and what not to say if they asked me certain questions, so I don't make myself look like an idiot on court date.
