That's something that has always mystified me, why people are so insistent on bootlicking and applying empathy to an institution that is inherently sociopathic (business/shareholder interests)

I was in management once. I left before it came down to something like this - but it shocked me how spineless the other people who were promoted to management at the same time were. None of them were interested in fighting for their teams, just walking away from a bad situation while smiling and nodding. I wasn't going to stack rank my devs, and I wasn't going to claim that they were doing a poor job. Unfortunately, that's not what my boss wanted to hear, and they drove out my most talented devs, and me.

girlfriend and I have no interest in having kids. I've been married once, don't want to do it again. She knows, and is ok with that. There might be issues with medical stuff down the line, but oh well, I'm not going through it.

That's a union that no longer serves its purpose then. Don't get me wrong, I don't think a union magically fixes things, I think the union is the only tool we have to protect ourselves, we just have to routinely repair/ maintain that tool.

That is a name I have not heard in many moons.

No purpose to most of the different moves (vertical slash vs horizontal slash vs stab). The only noticeably different attack is the jump slash.

The only real death core I can get into is slaughter to prevail. I just don't particularly like the tone for a lot of deathcore, I didn't really like most -core genres back in the naughts, maybe shadows fall and ATR. I'm just waiting for more tech death like archspire, or some older school death metal like what we got in the 90s from death or Gothenburg

To be fair, the whole 10% saving thing is in addition to retirement, loan payoffs, rent, etc. I just took a new job with a substantial raise, I make way more than the median in my area, but because I'm trying to do this on one income it's slow as hell.

Even if I save 10% on an ample salary it still takes ~4 years of uninterrupted saving to have a down payment, let alone closing costs. System is broken.

I enjoy it, but haven't been able to play much lately.

Problem with that is the halting problem, in a more finite place. How do you show that a forEach/loop never terminates?

Data structures and thinking about the composition and memory allocation of objects will absolutely make you a better programmer. You won't use any of the things you learn, but you'll be stronger for having learned them.

The code from the video above gave a very simple example. Do you have a better example of what I could use a Linked List for? I watched another video that said Linked Lists are good for queues and stacks so I just assumed programmers used them for stuff like shopping carts on low stock items. Or when buying tickets for an upcoming show.

I haven't used a linked list ever since college. I just use the built in c# List<> which is an expandable vector. Best of both worlds, kinda.

Best i can think of in that scenario is double iteration wit a worst case of nsquared. Iterate forwards so you don't check for a combination you've already checked. Technically the run time would be something along the lines of nC2, but setting that up would still quirk out to about nsquared.

linear runtime, early success in case of collision. Shouldn't be further optimizable, since worst case scenario (no collisions) still requires iteration across each element.

Iterate, hashmap the pointer to the node (or just the referenced object, as long as it has object equality). Any collision on hashmap insert is a loop.

Linked list is easier to insert something g into the middle of, worse for accessing values

I remember reading on the CDC website that double vaxxed + boosted means you can (relatively) safely go maskless without fear of spreading the disease.

The vaccine assists your body in reducing viral load that you're carrying/ tolerating some viral load, provided that the viral load is of a variant that the vaccine targets.
