In the east, even if they get into Sil, Mos can be supported forever from Sev while War is supported by Ukr and Gal and Boh is supported by Tyr.

Yeah that's why league/tournament play is where it's at imo, where scoring systems create incentives to still get as many supply centers as you can even if a solo is impossible.

Great opportunity for a lesson here for new players regarding stalemate lines. As the name implies, a stalemate line refers to a set of provinces which, if all held with the proper number/type of units, cannot possibly be broken.

The biggest most common stalemate line is illustrated above. Consider the diagonal that roughly goes Stp-Lvn-Pru-Sil-Boh-Tyr-Pie-LYO-WES

If you count Stp (and Spa/Por) as being on the west of that line, there's 17 supply centers on each side. If you lock down that line all the way across, it's impossible for a power who controls the other side to solo.

At first glance it seems like Germany might solo, but in reality it can only happen if someone throws or if Turkey falls into a coma. The game is over.

Why is this still continuing? Just give it up already, Germany. Close, but no cigar.

My last gunboat game has a power at 17 centers and we've locked up the stalemate line and for some reason the GM has paused adjudication...I guess a player is without service or something.

I looked back and kept asking how I could have board topped. I think the only way was to never accept an AT alliance to begin with. I could've convinced Italy to focus west then formed an AR. I tried to do that somewhat but Nicolas in Turkey is a way better negotiator than I am

Oh....oh damn.

I knew what was up as soon as I spoke to the first villager in town and he didn't recognize me. But they got me with the twist once the flashback ended. Didn't see that one coming.

So, just to unpack that. As I approached Cobblestone, the World Tree showed me a vision of the past to allow my granddad to tell me I need to go to Cobblestone Falls. Also, child Daniel can speak, even though present day Daniel cannot. Ok. Then the vision ended and Cobblestone is in ruins, razed under orders from the king. Because I'm the Darkspawn, right.

Dang. Welp.

Often I find myself disappointed by the abundance of invisible barriers. The game is so vibrant and high energy that it sometimes makes me wish I was playing BotW so that I could jump off cliffs and interact with more of the environment.
