Regirock's best moves are Stone Edge, Fire Punch, and Ice Punch all with the same power after STAB/Super Effective bonuses but Stone Edge has that 80% accuracy making it less reliable. It also has Sturdy so Victreebel can't one shot it but it's slower and all 200 base Defense doesn't help it when Victreebel can go Special.

Victreebel has a whole slew of powerful Grass-moves both Physical and Special at it's disposal with Power Whip, Leaf Storm, Solar Beam, Giga Drain, and because Regirock is a bunch of heavy rocks, Grass Knot is also super good doing Solar Beam's Damage without needing a turn to charge and 100% accuracy for reliability. Victreebel's Poison-typing is also a blessing protecting it from being toxic-stalled.

Victreebel takes this fairly easily. Regirock could actually win with a Weakness Policy since it is slower and has Sturdy to survive for a turn but would lose any other time.

Miltank is tankier and has access to a pretty good Fighting-type move selection in Body Press, which uses Defense rather than Attack for damage calculation, and Hammer Arm and reliable recovery in Milk Drink and Heal Bell for any status that Purugly might inflict.

Purugly is slightly speedier but it's has no access any Fighting-type moves that'd it'd actually want, it's best moves are Body Slam for Paralysis, Return for slightly more damage, and Last Resort which actually wouldn't be too bad paired with Fake Out.

Purugly can't do enough damage before Miltank can KO it. Miltank can stall out Purugly ten times over and Miltank can slow Purugly with a Body Slam of it's own with more damage to boot. There's really not much of a contest for Purugly.

I've only played the demo but the problem I have with it is that it's a not an English dub so when I'm playing, I'm concentrating on murdering mooks, not reading what they're saying so I feel like I'm missing out on things during battles like mission objectives or story. It's a problem I've had with the more recent SW games like 4-2 and SoS. Even as crappy as DW9's dub was, it was still a dub so I didn't mind it.

Like literally it can't do anything to it, the move pool of grotle is so narrow literally the only way it can do damage is by bite or crunch and durant has fairly high defense. Durant takes 1/4 damage from grass and 1/2 damage from normal. It's even immune to poison so grotle can't try to stall with toxic and leech seed.

I can't see any scenario where grotle wins.

While I didn't vote for Grotle, I do like playing Devil's Advocate to see both sides of the coin.

Grotle, like every other Pokemon, has access to Hidden Power which can be Fire. Also that Durant has Hustle as it's ability so Durant only has an 80% chance to hit with X-Scissor. Grotle also only has a ~20% chance to get OHKO'd by X-Scissor if it has full Defense and HP EVs, Bold nature and Eviolite and Durant has Hustle and Choice Band meaning that Grotle has a decent chance to live for 2 turns which it needs to be able to KO Durant with Hidden Power.

That being said, Durant can always run Swarm instead of Hustle and to be guaranteed a 2HKO and not have to worry about Hustle's accuracy drop.

Also while Durant can get First Impression which would ups it's chance of a OHKO to ~80%, Grotle can just use Protect on it's first turn and First Impression becomes useless.

I lost the second one in a technical sense because I Sunny Day'd but I forgot I put a Choice Band on Gloom. I had to Dynamax which apparently cancels out Choice items. More user error than anything but I'll still admit I lost that one.

While Zigzagoon can pull off a surprise Z-Move Subzero Slammer using Blizzard, it doesn't have enough power to KO Gloom in one hit with it or even enough with a Breakneck Blitz from Double-Edge and this is without Eviolite.

Gloom has several ways to KO Zigzagoon in one hit including but not limited to Petal Dance, Solar Beam, Bloom Doom from Petal Dance, All-Out Pummeling from Drain Punch. Gloom can keep itself healthy with Giga Drain, Drain Punch or Moonlight. Gloom has the various status powder moves, also has access to Eviolite.

The only way I can see Zigzagoon winning is getting lucky with paralysis from Thunder Wave and paraflinching with with Headbutt/King's Rock.

There's two. Storm Throw which is Fighting-type and Frost Breath which is Ice-type and their power got changed for 40 to 60 to compensate for the crit power change going from 2x to 1.5x damage boost. You also don't have defensive stat boosts factored in if you crit so that +6 Defense which is 4 times their normal defense is negated though it doesn't do anything for you if you are debuffed.

There's also the 1 hit knockout moves: Horn Drill, Fissure, Sheer Cold and Guillotine. 30% accuracy but a guaranteed knockout if they hit.

I'd say it's 10 out of 10 times. Tauros would literally have to spam non-attacking moves the entire time or repeatedly miss a rock slide or something. Dewpider has a base hp of 38, that is nothing, basically any stab attack from Tauros should one shot it, not even mentioning the super effective options it has in wild charge or rock slide.

You'd be surprised.

Eviolite and 100 HP/156 Def EV investment and Dynamaxing give Dewpider enough tankiness to live through almost anything Tauros can throw at it. Give Dewpider a Special Attack increasing nature with the full 252 EV investment in Special attack, Water Bubble as it's ability which doubles Water-Type attacks damage, Surf which turns into 130 base power Max Geyser when Dynamaxed and assuming Tauros has very little in the way of defensive investment since it is usually used played as a Physical Sweeper which is 252EVs in Attack and Speed. At this point Dewpider can survive a hit from a Tauros and proceed to one hit KO if Tauros doesn't dynamax itself hence the "play badly" part and that's just a best case scenario.

Maybe Dewpider could do better with more defensive investment to survive another turn and getting more damage from rain from Max Geyser.

After calculations with a +def natured Dewpider, Tauros has a 100% chance to ohko with Body slam doing almost 20000% of its health.

Thunder which is almost twice as strong as Shockwave does about half. Still a ohko obviously.

That doesn't seem right. Did you calculate this with a level 5 Dewpider?

Tauros would win 9 times out of 10. Dewpider could win under certain conditions but you'd really need to min/max Dewpider to specifically fight against Tauros and even then Tauros has to play badly to lose.

There's only 7 games but some of them had harder variations. It's a shame you don't really get anything for completing the variations. The games that had the variations were synchronized swimming, skateboarding, running, table tennis, and climbing. I was kinda disappointed that there wasn't a second variation for rugby.

Also I didn't realize skateboarding, rugby and climbing were Olympic sports.

I completed it to 100 percent last week. Fun and charming little game.

You can get big points in the skateboarding game by just jumping and doing nosegrab 3 or 4 times then jumping again when you touch the ground then rinse and repeat for a big combo and big points. You can also sit next to the tanooki and do this and once you have a really big combo, collect him for the 5000 points with whatever multiplier you have.

To be fair, the game is extremely snowball-y with very little way of coming back if the winning team really pushes the advantage and is achievable without spending a dime.

Rainbow Road on the Wii sucked for the opposite reason that it was way too full of ways to fuck up.
