I'm in new york. I wish there were locals in my area, but Rochester doesn't have any (although there are rare tournaments here and there, but not weekly). Buffalo and Syracuse have weekly tournaments, but they're on Sundays. I work Sunday so that isn't going to work for me. I feel like smash organizers are doing this on purpose to me so I don't win their tournaments lmao.

tbh i'm leaning towards no on the offline tournament. if i don't do well, i know i'm not gonna be too happy about it. and knowing me, i'll probably leave the tournament when i lose (which i know you shouldn't do, you should stick around, play friendlies and meet new people). and i live 2 hours away.

watching CEO. i said this before, but one thing i miss about online tournaments is the ability to watch your favorite player's run. most good players streamed their games so you could watch from start to finish. now there's a bunch of off-stream games that you'll never see.

Thankfully, the alien species is likely to be more intelligent than you, and should be able to figure out the instructions using the clues we gave them.

that's assuming their planet is similar to ours. their world might be completely different. language might not even exist. reading and writing may not exist. communication might not be a thing either, or if it is, it might be completely different. they might be smarter, but they may have a completely different toolkit from us.

I got mine done early as well. I'm going to sound like an asshole. I didn't put quite as much effort into shopping as I usually do. My thought process is, it's the thought that counts, and my family members don't put a whole lot of effort when they Christmas shop. Not complaining, in fact I'm glad because now I have an excuse to not put in effort either haha.

I can actually see why he does this. When I got my ass kicked by Cannon Red, the only stocks I took from him were from missed rests. I didn't earn those stocks because of a good read or fantastic play, I got it because he fucked up. It feels cheap to take a stock because of the rest was missed.

On the flip side, I also play Puff and I've had people not kill me after a rest miss, and then when I beat them it doesn't feel like a legitimate win, because they had the game...they just chose to let me live lol.

I noticed hbox tries to 2 frame with down smash in ultimate. That makes me think it's probably not a good idea.

I say that because, while his melee puff is legendary, his ultimate puff is just alright.

Pretty sure they also have some sort of plaque or engraving that indicates how to read the information on the disc.

But these are aliens, they're not going to understand instructions. They're not going to know what a "second" is, or a "record". Their world is probably completely different, where all logic is different.

I think he's trolling me on purpose lmao, because every time I walk in the room, he switches items on...and as soon as I leave, he turns items back off. today he tried to pull the same stunt, I ended up playing one game and then leaving. fuck items lmao. he just wants items on so that I don't beat him! lol.

Thanks btw. For better or worse I think I am a Puff main in this game, Falcon is more of a secondary than a true dual main. There are definitely match ups I'd rather play Falcon in and vice versa, though.

i agree, i'm really bad at grabbing. i can never seem to find the right time to grab. even my match against xenophon, he kept slipping away every time lol. yoshi's grab is awful so that's not too bad for me, but dk's ability to grab and cargo throw is nice, so i'm trying to improve my grab game a bit.
