Also Ah Sahm's confidence/cockiness cracks me up every time. He's so good.

I never gravitate to shows with historical settings either - the fight choreography was the big draw for me. Any show with really good action usually has terrible acting and storylines, but this has a whole cast of gripping characters and a great way of showing things from lots of different angles.

Super curious what they've done for S3.

Check it out, GMUN. It's very good. It's a little extra-cheesy for the first episode or so, but settles in quickly.

It's been 2.5 years since season two, so I've been waiting a long time for this.

Rewatching season two now to get ready.

Great show. Excellent fight scenes.

Here's my "final" party that I was pretty happy with (spoilers in case the image isn't hidden):

Most bosses would die to this sequence:
Cast Overload (monster magic) on Assassin
Hit boss with Armor Break
Use Wind Scroll on boss
Hit boss with Wind Punch

I set it up to always hit (and always crit) on the first hit. The Assassin's passive made it hit for double if it would kill. If it wouldn't kill, I'd switch to a Nomad for the boost from its passive instead.

For longer bosses, I had Spotlight/Fire Scroll/Flare, with the Wizard's fire attacks boosted by the Flameseeker.

Chemist was to reduce cooldowns on Ninja skills, Cleric/Scholar for healing and putting enemies to sleep.

Next time, I'd get the Pointy Hat (extends debuff time) earlier and experiment with Summoner more. It was awesome in the short time I tried it out.

There's a mod now that makes abilities work regardless of weapon type, which will make party synergy work a whole lot better if you want to give it another chance

Nice! There are a good amount of optional bosses to fight too.

100 times worse. It's really really bad. But some of the best gear in the game is locked behind having one.

Doesn't hurt to still do a few races and get a feel for it, but doing enough to get the final product takes a long time

If you're not there yet, I hiiiighly recommend following a guide and using the assist options to turn mini games off to get the (final mount spoilers) golden Quintar.

My monk (secondary) was by far my best damage dealer throughout the game. Never held a weapon.

lots of conclusions were jumped to based on the example of an interruption I gave, but there are lots of valid interruptions. there's just a major lack of empathy in this discussion.

i think we're up to four people who have replied to "I would enjoy this game if it simply had a pause button" with "maybe you should never play video games at all"

Most people in here have said they wouldn't enjoy the games less if you could pause.
Several people have said they would enjoy the games more if you could pause.

So it would be a good decision to be able to pause.

Complaining about that gets "fuck you and your call center job" or "you shouldn't be playing video games", which is pretty silly.

I love difficult games. These games are right up my alley. But working in pro sports is not 9-5, so I'll get all my work done and then maybe boot up a game. Shit can come up at any time and dying and being set back because you can't hit pause makes the games not viable for me. Or for several people in here with young kids or whatever. All I'm saying is that it's a valid complaint.

interruptions happen and being able to tend to them is a basic convenience of offline gaming.

Are you not paying attention to anything anyone is saying? You can literally just leave the game unpaused and be fine most of the time. If you kill all the enemies around you, they don't respawn and nothing will hurt you. You CAN leave the game unattended frequently.

oh okay, so I just take the time to make sure every enemy around me is dead and then I can answer my calls and maybe I'll die anyway

or there could just be a pause button. it's just a frustrating, stupid thing that will make me not spend hundreds of dollars on their games.

I don't understand how people can defend the "no pause" shit... my life is not currently in a place where I can play a game without frequent interruptions. Would love to play one of these games but it would be far too frustrating because of that one little thing.

If playing ps5, does pressing the ps button pause the games?

the oracle games remade, combined, and in 3D BotW style

finished all the side adventures, but only 50 side quests so far

haven't seen anyone mention it, but if you're annoyed by how hard some caves are to find: drop a fruit in the bowl in front of a cherry blossom tree

Agreed, stumbling on that and following it through all the way was my favorite part of this game

I got the zonaite armor set but haven't tested how much it reduces battery consumption yet
