7. Marvel's Spider-Man



This is weird because I'm not really much of a Marvel fan in the first place, but I've always enjoyed Spider-Man movies and video games, especially the ones on SNES/Genesis and N64. I picked this up with the intention to play it, but there were so many other games around that time that it just sort of moved to the back of the line.

8. Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise



I was planning on playing this Yakuza take on the Fist of the North Star franchise after I finished up catching up on the main series, but...well we'll get to that later. Always a big fan of Fist of the North Star I've seen all of the original anime and some of the movies and also a lot of the games based on the series. Most of those games were bad, but this seemed like the first one that would be good! Maybe next year I'll get to it

4. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze



The switch port of Tropical Freeze was a very FUNKY version of the game. I never really played much of the original version on Wii U, I think I only played through all of World 1, but I played significantly more of the Switch version. I didn't use Funky all that much although I'm glad he's there, but I did take advantage of the extra health bar the mode gives you while playing with the other characters. Made for a much more leisurely and enjoyable experience of the game compared to the stress filled platforming that the original mode provided

Sure I already played these games on PS3 and Wii U, but I had to import the Non-Stop Climax Edition when they brought these over to Switch. Had a nice steelbook plus it was the only way to get a physical version of Bayonetta 1 on Switch.

Well, I have save data for both so I cant confirm myself, but Nintendo Australia's Twitter mentioned that you can unlock them by completing challenges and Serebii specifically mentions Spirit Board in the listing for them.

Here's some cool games I played that didn't quite make my Top 10, but I feel deserve mention

Donut County - Cool game about dropping things into holes. Mostly memorable for the song that plays when you complete a stage -

Kirby Star Allies - They made another Kirby sidescroller! It was super easy, but I enjoyed it! Still need to play the DLC that's supposed to kick you in the balls.

Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu! - They remade Pokemon Yellow but with Pokemon GO! mechanics! I don't really like Pokemon GO! but it works surprisingly well here.

Forza Horizon 4 - Recognition for once again making another game that's like Burnout Paradise, but isn't Burnout Paradise.

Persona Dancing Triple Pack - Includes Persona 3/5 Dancing along with an HD port of Persona 4 Dancing. 4 is still great and 3 is the better of the two newer games. The remixes in 5 just sound wrong.

Celeste - Only just started this recently. Seems like a fun meat boy clone and I like the weird sound effects when the characters talk.

A Way Out - Played through this game with one of my friends and while I wouldn't call it a good game, we had fun trying to make it through this split screen co-op action game about breaking out of prison

Adol is the protagonist of Ys IX.

Adols name had become known around the world following Ys VI.

The increased number of people who know about Adol is one of the main highlights.

Theres a chance well see characters from past titles make an appearance, but if they do it would be for minor roles.

As for why Adol arrives in Prison City, given his past record, theres a good chance he fell under his usual pattern of action.

The right arm of the woman on the key visual is an artificial arm. Shes also the same woman from the countdown site.

There are some characters who become Monstrum that are no longer human, due to certain reasons.

The dream mentioned in the prologue is unrelated to the dream of Dana in Ys VIII.

You can get on top of roofs and run on top to travel.

During the game youll also get to take control of Monstrum.

There are actions such as floating that is close to flying and other flight actions.

Previously you adventured using Magic Items but this has been abolished in favor of supernatural abilities.

The adventure items from Ys VIII will also be gone. The reason for that is because there would be too many items and categories, so one of the goals is to do a little rearranging.

Id like to keep map-making. Id also like to add fishing, but all kinds of things have come up and are under consideration.

I hadn't tried the game on my emulator on my PC to see if it's the iso or the emulator of the PSX Classic itself

could be the game itself is just busted or it's incompatible with the PSX emulator which would require installing retroarch (which I don't really want to do I'd rather just delete it from the lineup)

also while it's like part 3 in that it's a road trip (this time across Italy), it's unlike part 3 in that it's all a continuous series of events like as soon as they deal with the current enemy the events to set up the next one are already happening and there's not a timeskip of a few days like part 3 would have had which I feel made that more monster of the weekish compared to this

Anyway the games I've tested so far have all seemed fine I'm sure if you do an in-depth side-by-side comparison it's far from a hundred percent perfect

The one thing I haven't gotten around to yet is trying games with DualShock controls because I haven't gotten the USB adapter to let me plug in my DualShock 2 controllers
