I explained what happened to the manager on duty; they said to call back tomorrow as the main manager will be in then and handles money and discrepancies. I told them what they did was theft. No room for confusion, my receipt was clear for the total amount written. I guess I'll call my bank now but I don't think they can do anything about the overcharge. *shrug* --- |

the money, housing, food, and eduction is pittance to what government got out of those volunteers in which many of them never came home the same or came home at all. but it was a win win for both parties. during certain wars, the volunteers did this for the sincere conviction that their country was amazing in the liberties it allowed with merit based social mobility that it was worth dying for it and the government got to protect its interests and land and projected its power on the global stage by the blood of its volunteer soldiers. --- |
