Played off and on, keeping it logged in. Before dinner, I logged out, then tried logging back in just to see what my queue would've been. Was about 700 people, and I play on Primal (Lamia). Anyway, I'm currently in the Stormblood MSQ. Had to brush up on a few things in terms of where I'm at and such. Every time I hear "Doma Castle", I keep expecting to see Cyan, or perhaps Kefka looking to poison/murder everyone there. Did the duty where Gonna try and catch up as quick as I can, though I'm quite a ways behind lol. Fields definitely made some mistakes (staring down Mooney on the pick 6), but he had some nice throws and scrambles too. Jenkins got his first real game action, and definitely struggled a bit, but I think he could be a solid OT (though maybe move him to RT, his college position). Good lord is their secondary so bad though. Jaylon Johnson is great, and held Adams in check for the most part when they were 1-on-1, outside of the late TD (on a filthy route by Adams). Then Green Bay did what good teams do. They............adjusted. Adams played half of the second half snaps in the slot, and murdered whoever was there. All Syncs/AASBs had worn off (though Gladio's AASB was still going, since he started late), had just put down a third chain, and had about 6% hp to chew through. Just got it done after argent primal essence triggered 4/5 last stands. Leaving Noctis in seemed to be the right call, as he could still juuuust break cap, even through aegis. Dorgann's damage was okay, thankfully he got a couple procs of his imperil LMR, but imperil in general was likely my biggest issue. So I have my physical Odin now, and already leveled him up to 99, so that's sweet! Dorgann's imperil doesn't get going until far too late, and with Silvery Pillar being magical, it failed to break rage a couple times (plus not being able to tell Odin's earth imperil state, because it imperils everything lol). Though, I think I may have found the issue. My magicite setup is as follows: Odin (BW/SW) Titan (HP/empower) Ramuh (HP/healing) Madeen (atk/atk) Madeen (HP/healing) That second Madeen should be double deadly strikes 10, so I'll swap that in. So now it's hopefully beating a physical version, then basically needing just a one time win on each one to inherit the seals? I think I got that right. My physical earth team is quite powerful, but it lacks imperil. I have Dorgann's AASB which could help (and his Sync), only issue is he likely has to replace either Bartz or Noctis as DPS. WOdin is now level 99. Still need to farm 3 more copies, then I'll try and get a physical one. I have Bartz earth sync/AASB1 and Noctis earth sync/AASB, Gladio chain (and AASB), then likely Tyro as support. Elarra healer I guess? Allegro doesn't work for physical teams I don't think, though I do have both of her USBs. Every time Red or Emperor's HA goes off and I'm like "yay, his rage is down to 2/1/0", he immediately jumps to 3. Got him a second time, and improved my time almost 3 seconds (46.83 to 44.17). Though I don't remember seeing either Antiheal or Argent Storm Lance on my first run. And man did those suck. Antiheal for obvious reasons, and the lance murdered my party. Thankfully I had used Elarra's AASB right after Tellah and Mog got death'ed, so everyone had LS, and then I used her USB1 to bring everyone back up a little bit. The first time, I dropped Tellah's second chain shortly before him and Mog died. This time, I waited (first chain ran out about 1.5 seconds before they died), then used it immediately upon them being brought back. Killed WOdin just as it was going to run out. This was my first try too, so I definitely didnt optimize when things shouldve been cast and such. It seemed like it took forever for him to cast death on slots 2 and 4. I had just put down the second chain when he did, killing Tellah and Mog. Brought them both back with Elarra AASB, but I had also just cast AASBs with Emperor and Red, as their syncs had run out, so THOSE ran out in phase 3, with under 10% hp left. Thank God I left their USBs on too, as Emperors dealt the killing blow (hones were all spent on their HAs too, and I hadnt given either a secondary ability lmao). The golden week ticket gave me Cinques sig damage up with hammer LMR, Josef USB1, and Zack glint+ dupe. Realm ticket went to FFIX, got Zidane USB1 dupe. So now I have Argent Odin magic magicite! Do I slot him in right away? Got a few AASBs (Terra, Papa, Vivi, Matoya), and Vincent's chain, but no Syncs. Magic Shiva could be a bit tough. Vivi's new Sync2 pairs with his AASB2, and Rinoa has Sync2 and AASB1 (and the new chain). Serah has her ice sync, as well as an ice chain, so may use her as chain holder and let Rinoa focus on damage. Main issue would be AOE stuff for the tornadoes. For dark magic, no shortage of options. Emperor and Ultimecia return as a pretty solid duo, Kuja has the instant chain as well as an AASB, though would have to decide between him and Golbez as chain holder, as Golbez has his Sync (but his chain isn't IC). Lastly, physical holy, Orlandu, Agrias, and WoL all have Sync/AASB combos (would likely take Orlandu and Agrias), Ramza has chain. Last stand popped and I was able to heal, but then one of the big P3 AOEs hit, and down went everyone except Bartz and Elarra, and the chain had just ended. Thankfully, Bartz was still under sync, Ramuh was under 10%, and Bartz's C1 was still hitting about 15k, so it finished him. Thankfully, my magic holy (mostly) summoner team can essentially rip through anything, shoutout to Hope's sync which just gets more crazy the more turns he gets in it. Normally things are dead by his second turn in sync. Going to try and take out physical Ramuh and magical Leviathan tomorrow. I have the tools, though debating whether to use Shantotto as my chain holder (she has the instacast newish one) since she also has sync/AASB, or bring Desch/Garnet (though I barely have anything for either). Likely Shan I think. For phys Ramuh, I think I'll bring Gladio (chain/AASB), Noctis (sync/AASB), and Bartz (sync/AASB). As far as the dream selects go, I think I'll do one sync and one AASB. I have Orran's sync (unsure about his glint+ but I think so), so he may be the AASB choice. I don't have Cait's AASB though. Got both of Mog's as well as Mog's sync, and have Quina's sync too. The kneeling crap was awful though, even though I understand the reasoning. Run game was definitely not good either. The double timeout thing was hilarious. That said, nothing I saw today shows any confidence that Nagy got better in any way. Dalton was decent most of the game, but definitely had his mistakes and mis-throws. | mccheyne 11/23/21 10:38:01 PM #160 | Magic Ifrit defeated in 46.30! That was way too frustrating. Really wish I had a half decent water sync. The trick was making sure Rydia, Gogo, and Arc all had 2 stacks of water infusion before phase two, so none got berserked (since none would get hit with painflare). Had Arc use his AASB early, since he was my reraised sacrificial lamb, then Rydia after the pillars died in phase 2. Killed him towards the end of the second chain, all AASBs exhausted. Still need two more kills to make a defensive Ifrit, but will do that with my physical team later. That's my first 6* with both physical and magical defeated. Think I'll go after Titan next, as my magic wind team is fairly good, with Ultimecia SASB1+2, AASB1, Emperor SASB1, AASB1, Alph SASB1, AASB1, and Onion Knight SASB3, AASB1. Alph has my wind chain, so he's in by default, along with likely Mog and Elarra. Rydia (AASB), Gogo V (Chain/AASB2), Arc (AASB1/both glint+s), Elarra (Sync/AASB/both USBs), and Mog (Sync/both AASBs). It's the planning around getting reraise on either Rydia or Arc, and then remembering to do it again later for the second one.
