Just to correct a few mistakes here:
- His USB actually gives switch-draw WITH element stacking, so it's even better.
- Also, the same row quickcast isn't quite Marche-style, since it boosts all actions, unlike Marche, who is limited to physical attacks. I think Kiros is only 2 instead of Marche's 3, but being able to speed up healers, mages, chains, wrath, entrust, etc. more than makes up for that.

WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS 2019 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS!!

Gonna do a quick difficulty ranking first. Only counting bosses that dropped memories specifically. I think I got them all, but remind me if I missed one! Will go from easiest to hardest:

13) Folding Screen Monkeys
Not hard at all, mainly zooming around the rooftops and such trying to find them, while murdering ghost monkeys

12) Divine Dragon
Again, not really that difficult, moreso trying to puzzle it together (mainly the last bit, where the trees go away).

Keep in mind for all the rest, they were all fairly tough and it's quite hard to rank them, so bear with me!

11) Headless Ape
The second fight with him is easier than the first, as I basically knew how to fight him at that point. Yeah it's annoying when the second one showed up, but not too too bad.

10) Guardian Ape
This was harder as you can't really fight him like most of the other bosses. Hardly any deflecting (especially in phase 1), moreso dodging and hitting when able.

9) Lady Butterfly
Maybe a bit lower than you all expected, and it's likely because I fought her a little while after being able to go to Hirata. Definitely a fun fight though.

8) Gyoubu Oniwa the Demon
Again, likely because I fought him before Butterfly, but he definitely gave me some trouble.

7) Corrupted Monk
Super annoying, especially her constant pressure on you and the reach of that damn blade!

6) Great Shinobi Owl
These next few are tough to place, but though Owl was a battle of attrition and the anti healing grenade was super annoying, I don't remember it taking too too many tries to take him down

5) Genichiro Ashina/Way of Tomoe
Whereas this one definitely took many tries to take down. This fight was all about recognizing patterns, deflecting often to build posture, and reversing his lightning in phase 3. Tough but fun!

4) Owl (Father)
Though I only died a few times to this dude, he was still quite hard! Very beefy, lots of combos, and the literal owl that is also a phoenix

3) True Corrupted Monk
Yeah fuck this thing. Thankfully I figured out where to grapple to in the second phase when she disappears, but that third phase is insane. Definitely had lots of trouble with it.

2) Demon of Hatred
This dude could deal damage fast and furiously! All the fire barrages were tough too, and I definitely died a fair few times. Was a tossup between him and the next boss for #1, but the fact that you could get in a bunch of hits depending on what he did, as well as stagger him a couple times, makes him sliiiightly easier

1) Isshin, the Sword Saint
I don't think there was much doubt. Genichiro at the beginning is basically there as a warmup for deflecting and such (I normally hit a deathblow when he still had 2/3s of his vitality left), but Isshin is no joke. Figuring out the first phase didn't take too too long, but that second phase is insane. I could never really fully learn his spear combos, though I was able to consistently mikiri counter his thrust at the end of a 3 hit combo. Third phase thankfully wasn't that bad due to the lightning, but overall, definitely the hardest boss of Sekiro for me.

WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS 2019 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS!!

Took 3 cracks at the Demon tonight.

Try #1 I used too many healing gourds in the first phase. That said, I was able to take off two of his health bars, never get caught in the ring of fire in phase 3, but got careless with his charge because I thought I had gotten a resurrection back from the second phase deathblow. I didn't. I died while only having 2-3 hits left to kill him.

Try #2 lasted about 15-20 seconds. I got caught in a combo, didn't move enough, and didn't use the umbrella as my just-in-case action. Dead fairly fast.

Try #3 was fairly similar to #1, though I didn't have to heal as many times in the first phase. Avoided all fireballs in second phase, but I got killed by one in the third phase (I HAD a resurrection this time though). I was more careful after that, and I was able to take him down!!

With his dying breath, he asked me to kill him, then said "Wolf.........thank...........you." Was he the sculptor? The sculptor mentions about carving buddhas to chill the bloodlust in him or something similar, and this thing shows up when the sculptor is gone. Plus, it knows me by name. I could be way off base, but it sounds like it could be.

Anyway, looks like this is officially completed! I'll do a main boss ranking of some form hopefully tomorrow!

beast tribes are mostly good only for the mount these days, which you get after ~30 days of daily quests.

They do give a small amount of EXP, but they also give a special currency which can be redeemed for items from the beast tribe vendor. IIRC these typically include stuff used for endgame crafting, which becomes next to useless once that expansion is no longer current.

Doing all 12 quests each day? Or just 1?

I saw a couple random + quest signs, one at level 1, one at level 41 lol. Both were for beast tribes, Ixal and Sylphs. I guess the Ixal are for gathering/crafting classes and sylph quests are more damaging based quests? Just hit level 48 bard, didn't have as much time to play as I thought today, will do leveling roulette tomorrow morning to try and get to 49!

Yeah his perilous charge is deceptively easy to dodge with a simple jump. Thats the attack of him I hate the most.
You did figure out to just get the hell out of dodge when phase3 starts and the fire circle comes in.

There is a cheap way to stun him should you need it. I know I used it for phase3

I assume it's not firecrackers is it? Will give it a lengthy shot tomorrow, see if I can get the timing for the jump.

One day I'll build up my deck. I just realized that once you clean out an NPC of their cards, they don't have a symbol above their head anymore. So it's a lot easier than I thought to get all the cards, as long as I pay attention. Good to know.

Gonna play some later tonight, try and get to level 49, then keep the MSQ going.

I have DS3, so that's definitely a possibility. I maaaaay take a break from these type of games, as I went DS1, DS2, and now Sekiro. Still got Bloodborne too. But we'll see, haven't decided yet! If I do take a break, it would be the next game after what ever other one I choose!

Lololol yeah, I don't have the hang of it at all.

So the things that give me the most trouble in this fight is the perilous charge (but are you implying I can jump his hand?) and the goddamn fire whip. I can't track it well, so the first swipe almost always hits me, the second doesn't, and his giant windup that can hit almost over the whole fucking map has connected a few times. What's the solution? Obviously the fire umbrella, which I have definitely not used enough. I use it often in phase two when he does his fire blast. The fireballs are annoying as hell though, as they don't really start hard tracking you until they're relatively close.

So I fought him 11 times. 4 of those times, I got to phase 2. 1 of those times, I got to phase 3. I was actually able to get outside of his fire circle both times he used it, but I was eventually killed because after his first perilous charge, he comes back at you and I was absolutely unprepared. Got his health halfway down too, thought I was gonna be able to win.

This is essentially like a DS boss, but without giving you the dodge roll iframes. If I can figure out that whip though, and jump the charge, I might be okay. But gonna give in for the evening, as I'm tired, and I accomplished a fairly decent amount today already lol

In my fight with Isshin I did often try to get as much distance as possible to heal, even tossing out firecrackers to keep him distracted.

Ahhh gotcha. I kept making sure the umbrella was ready to use for deflecting blocking stuff, and I kept not using it lol. I guess I didnt need it in the end, but I still feel I shouldve utilized it a bit. Since Im guessing the demon of hatred fight will be much more dodging than deflecting, itll likely get some use there!

He gives a bonus? Oh well lol. But yeah, it was definitely one of the toughest final boss fights Ive dealt with in a while, while not seeming unfair. Some of his crazy quick moves with the spear were annoying because I was running out of range to heal, and suddenly he was in front of me again.

After I eventually take down the demon of hatred, Ill rank the main boss fights. There were definitely some damn good ones

Man his second phase is so unforgiving. Especially whenever Im trying to heal.

I can get past Genichiro pretty easily, using either 0 or 1 gourd. Even Isshin phase 1 isnt that bad, just need to be a bit careful. Phase 2 killed me about 7 or 8 times. Then I got a mikiri that gave me the deathblow circle. Onto phase 3.

He jumped up in the air and here comes the lightning!! Honestly, after the initial shock (pun not intended), this was actually helpful! Was able to re-direct it 3 times at him, doing massive vitality damage. Aside from the fact that I nearly ended the run by falling off the cliff, and using all healing gourds, all 3 pellets, divine grass and just eating a sticky rice ball, I fucking got him!! Didnt need more than that one try on phase 3, which is great because I dont know if I wouldve gotten there again!

I chose to give Kuro the dragon tears and everblossom, and ended my own life to bring him back as a mortal. Apparently thats the purification ending?

You can indeed go back, as it asked me if I wanted to start play through 2. Still got Demon of Hatred to deal with.

Thatll be later though, Im pretty drained after that experience!

He killed me after I took half his vitality down, but I got a relatively decent pattern with him. Second try I took out his first health bar (albeit with like, 3 healing gourds left), and then he pulls out a gigantic fucking spear. At some point, he also rapid fire shoots me 4 times before slamming a spear at me. So he has a spear AND a gun. Got a little bit of his health down before dying.

Damn this dude is tough, and having to kill Genichiro every time while trying not to use a gourd is tough.

I could have bypassed them entirely hey? I figured this out as I swung around to get to the next idol. Oh well, wasnt a terrible optional boss anyway.

Used the secret passage key and ran out onto the same field as earlier, when Genichiro cut my arm off. Lo and behold, there he is again, looks like he stabbed/slashed Kuro and has a second mortal blade (though it was hinted earlier that a second one was found/taken).

He killed me the first time, but I took him out my second try by basically staying in his face. Also when he uses the mortal blade, I can get in like, 2-3 shots on him.

But uhhh, hes not done. Dude essentially kills himself with the black blade and out steps..........Isshin. Looking a bit younger and much less dead. Dude has 3 life bars and is called the sword saint. The game is paused as I write this, and the music is epic as fuck. Final boss? Thats my guess. Time to see how long I last!

So we progressed a bit more, still saving Demon of Hatred for later. Found...........another Seven Ashina Spears dude with a gigantic fucking spear. Of COURSE he has a general with him, and for some reason I'm finding it difficult to stealth kill him.

So I end up flying off to a branch, where they can both see me and wander around, but don't approach. Until the general dude does. I almost go falling to my death, but he actually DOES fall. Ohhhhhhhh, is that how you're supposed to get rid of him?

Took a few tries to get him down (my mikiri countering is VERY rusty), but got him. I wonder, can you actually lead the boss dude off the cliff too? And man this guy is super similar to that other dude who was in front of Kuro's room/prison a while back.

Just leaving the empire place that we infiltrated. A few notes:

• So the weapon is indeed called Ultima Weapon. As it should be. As long as it doesn't fly around later on forcing me to chase it to different areas lol
• When they mentioned Gaius meeting with his guest, I had a feeling it was Thancred. Though I didn't realize he was Lahabrea also, that was interesting.
• Just on the airship back, Minfilia calls someone. Her name is Krile?! FF5 reference time apparently.

Edit: "my regards to grandfather." Pleeeeeeeease tell me it's Galuf lol

If you're actively focused on leveling another class, yeah. Don't feel obligated to do the roulette every day just because you feel like you have to.

I haven't done it yet, since I haven't really needed to. Always been ahead of the level of the MSQ. Though it's closer now than it's been for a while, with it being at 44 I believe, and I'm 46.

I'd agree you shouldn't do it on your main class, but if you ever try another class, it's definitely worthwhile

all of the roulettes (except for guildhest roulette) are designed to be pretty high rewards in exchange for ensuring there's no unreasonable queue times for content in the game for other players

So for the levelling roulette, do that for a secondary class/job, not my main one?

So I fought Garuda, with a couple FC members. That music is also pretty damn good. Avoided her shriek things by hiding behind the rocks, but I got killed by something later on. I don't think it was aerial blast, but it might've been. Got revived right away, and finished her off.

Quick nock has been awesome, I use it all the time while traversing dungeons. And now that I read it also can re-up RoD, I'll have to have both of those on the same pad!

Don't know about apex arrow, but I assume that's not unlocked until later.

Way I did it with Black Mage is that I had most of my main combat abilities on my main hotbar, and then I had another for AoE stuff. Felt pretty natural that way.

I think the only AOE abilities I have so far are quick nock and rain of death (and rain of death has a 15 second cooldown). This definitely could still work though. I guess the real answer is play around with things until I find something that works well.

Dammit every time I see a music post, I want to check it lol. I'm a sucker for great final fantasy tunes. Cruising in the car in FFXV listening to old tracks was a great time.

Switching between hotbars mid battle is something that comes with experience. Will become essential down the line though.

Yeah this makes sense. I'll just have to be quicker about switching and get used to it I guess.

I kept the default one, with logs, inventory, character, etc. on it (adjusted some things). Have one fully filled with abilities and such, and some abilities are building up a second one. I've put the ones I don't use on that one currently (the grazes and repelling shot for the moment). Venomous shot was there initially, but now it's not since it stacks with windbite.

I guess it's moreso the switching between hotbars with R1 multiple times, though that shouldn't be a huge deal at all really. Just not used to it.
