I'm buying and downloading tonight finally. I debated waiting to see if it would go on sale for Black Friday, but meh, I'll live if I miss that. Can't buy it from the Squeenix website for whatever reason, causing me issues (likely has to do with me living in Canada), so I'm going to grab it, and the expansions, on Steam.

Done all achievements for Spyro 1 and 2 of the Reignited Trilogy, and got a bunch done on Spyro 3. I believe I'm at 89/105 or something like that. Going for my first perfected game on Xbox 1!

I had nothing for fire for the longest time, and then I randomly got Vincent's chain. Haven't tried the ice magicites yet, but that chain along with Terra's awakening should be vastly helpful. Haven't even looked at Quetz or BK yet since I don't have any chains.

Is there any decent guides for 5* magicite decks? I know the standard is:

triple empower
double dampen
blocker (blade/spell ward + hp boon)
Madeen (double attack or magic)
Something else, Lakshmi or something else healing related

With 2 or 3 HP boons mixed in. Just trying to see what I should farm and inherit, now that I'm actually making progress in this 5* magicite world. Anything I'm missing?

Still looking for a better ice chain, only have Rinoa and Fran, though neither are technically awful. Taking a shot at the FF6 banner could help that for Celes, though I have a bunch of the main prizes from there.

Improved Phoenix time to 20.30. Hardest part is surviving the early onslaught and making sure Aeris has enough bars to cast her USB on essentially every second turn. Those 2-hit gravity moves are not fun, neither is savage meltdown.

I want to try Belias before moving on to the ice magicites, but I just don't know if I have the water magic to do it. Which will mean skipping another mage-weak magicite. Ice I think I can do, as I have Vincent's chain (which will have to suffice for physical as well), and Terra's awakening (and chain firaja).

Phoenix defeated!

First time did it in 23.66, second time in 21.98. Holy fuck he hits fast though. When he's in rage mode, he hits like, 3 times per turn that I get. Did it with only one healer (Aeris), as I didn't think I could afford a loss of DPS by also bringing Elarra.

Bartz: Stormspell Strike AASB, USB1, AOSB
Tidus: Sapphire Bullet USB1, BUSB
Rikku: Sapphire Shot CSB, BSB1
Tyro: Wrath/Entrust USB3
Aeris: Curada USB2
MM: Famrit (don't have Geo yet)
SM: Madeen (double attack), Madeen (HP/fast cast), Famfrit, Kraken

Not an ideal magicite deck, but it did alright. Tyro as an entrust bot to Aeris after godwall actually worked relatively well. He had time to give half a bar to Bartz also, enabling the AOSB at the end, since he also needed two full bars for AASB and USB1. The double chase, plus chance of double and triple cast procs was quite fun to watch. I seem to be one of the few without Tidus AASB or AOSB, but he did relatively well also with both USBs. Rikku's ancient BSB was sweet for imperiling.

That makes 6/16 sub30ed. Only 1 of them of the mage team variety though (Madeen, thanks to mage Sephiroth). I think I may be able to take Geo, but I don't have either lightning magicite to break savage (earth chain still missing). Not sure about Belias. I have Palom USB, but only LMR for Strago, imperil water BSB for Rydia but only her earth USB, Meia's AOSB and LMR, and that's basically it. I have Yuffie's stuff too, but it's all physical.

5th 5* magicite down!!

Famfrit killed in 23.66, just needed to get through some of the earlier attacks while building bars.

I didn't know how much damage Noctis would pump out since he wouldn't have enLightning, but with chain and fabula raider, he was more than fine. As soon as his AASB was cast, impulse dive (I think that's what it's called, 6* dragoon lightning) was doing 20k per hit, which meant 120k per cast, and 240k per DC. Lightning was great backup damage, Prompto's imperils were stellar, and Aeris only had to cast her USB once. Didn't even use Tyro's awakening, just entrusted a bar here and there after having him open with god wall. Geosgaeno will likely give me more trouble, though Prompto should still work there for chains and imperil. Don't believe I have a lightning mage AASB, though I have Terra's, and I also have Palom USB.

Realized I had only got 34 seconds on D280 Jenova, so took my new FF7 party along with god Cloud to clean up the time. Got 17.99 seconds. Damn Cloud is insane once he gets rolling.

Tried the D???. Went without shellga, gave Aeris curada and dispel. Spent a looooong time in phase 1, getting Cloud entrusted and everything else setup. Started the glint+ from Zack and Cloud at about 13-14 seconds, Cloud USB1 around 17 seconds, then AASB, a tornado strike to murder the revived tentacles, AOSB, then another USB1. The first BDL9 had worn off, so it only did 20k per hit, but killed her right after, at 34.31! Was pumped, but thought I could sub30. Did it again, this time casting USB1 while BDL9 from the first cast was still active. Did about 64k per hit and downed Jenova at 29.50 seconds! Tiamat was active magicite, with 3 of my double dampen 4* magicites in the subs (the other being double attack boon Madeen).

I know I have a super decked out Cloud, but Im still pumped. First D??? Sub30! And likely only one for a little bit lol

That's the order I'd use. Although depending on the length of the fight you might go Glint+, USB1, AASB, spam spellblades for 15 seconds, USB1, AOSB. There's no benefit to using the AOSB while still in awakened mode as long as you have EX: SOLDIER mode so you can maximize your number of dualcast actions in awakened mode if you need to. Of course if you can finish the fight then go ahead and use the AOSB.

That's a great point. Probably would only load up for the AOSB right away for something like Jenova, when you need to skip phases. I haven't actually gone after a D??? legit except for the FFT (got 41 seconds), but I think I can get this one. Cloud, Zack (chain and now glint+), Red (USB), Shelke, and Aeris. Don't have Syldra or Typhon though, so need to hope my 4* wind magicites are enough. Bio resists on everyone, and hope Aeris can keep everyone alive. She'll need to have dispel for mighty guard, and likely hastega, so will need to survive without shellga.

Well, I took my aforementioned shot at the wind banner, and am now down to 6 mythril. May get up to 30 to take a couple shots at an earth chain (FF V, can't remember if there's another one aside from FF VII which I already tried). But thankfully, the wind banner draw was very worth it.

Said it multiple times, but trying to put some more serious effort into the game. Ive basically done the event dungeons that had mythril, and not a whole lot else. Highlight of newer/tougher things was my first clear on Hecatoncheir a little while back.

Took on Dream Genesis, first time Ive gone after the D350 version. Got him in 26ish seconds. Cloud glint+, USB1, AOSB combo, along with enwind LMR is disgustingly powerful. Along with Zacks chain and Reds USB (removed Seph for him), it was quite enough. I recasted Clouds USB a second time before hitting the AOSB, since he had so many bars thanks to Shelke, and it hit like, 55-58k per hit. Then the AOSB hit for around 23k a hit, plus the 99999 finisher. I know it was overpowering, but it was nice to get a harder win again. Likely going to try torment Jenova soon. Up to 570 rubies, and a crap ton of abilities to get, including most of the chain -ajas (though already got fire), and the 6* summons.

Like I'll run Cloud Awakening during the Zack Chain and sometimes I'll get it to have AOSB where every strike is over 9999 and then other times it is randomly coming around 5k. Also, one time I got to like 5% of his HP left but I was able to get both AOSB and USB to do every strike over 9999 but I don't know why that is happening or not happening. Any advice given would be awesome.

Yeah the instant last stand and haste sounds fairly useful. It would be timing up the mimic actions I guess. As well as figuring out how that whole dynamic works in this game.
