Would really help if Getsy called some plays to let Fields throw it downfield. The amount of screens was insane. You traded the first overall pick for DJ Moore (and other picks), you throw to him twice in the second quarter for 25 yards in total, and then never again. Claypool only targetted twice (and dropped one lol). Like, Fields wasn't incredible, and that pick 6 was absolutely his fault, but lets gameplan a little bit better lol.

Hopefully this is one of those week 1 overreactions, but man, both sides of the line didn't look good either. They only rushed 4 basically all game, so Love barely had to improvise and could just take as much time as he felt like. OC and DC need to bounce back, and fast.

Got 5 medals in Pokemon TCG, and 173/226 cards. Still got water, psychic, and fighting to go

Just got my 4th medal (grass, science, fire, rock, in that order). Rocking a Charmander and friends deck, but added some grass types instead of electric. Getting a Scyther going is pretty sweet, it basically swept the rock gym leader. Cards are 169/226, playtime is just over 4 hours I believe. Won the first challenge cup too.

Not sure what gym to go for next. Likely will leave water until the end, so I can maybe snag some decent electric types. Maybe electric?

Started a game in Pokemon TCG as well. 2 medals so far, and 139/226 cards. Very much modified Charmander and friends deck (fire and lightning), so I got the grass and science medals so far. Maybe the water gym next, but would need to completely remake the deck with lightning being the focus. Can't just build a new deck if a bunch of cards are allocated to another deck already though, right? I tried, but I had no Bills or Prof Oaks as they are in my first deck.

Not a good one at least. You can fight her legit, but a double lightning will murder the party. Dragoon party is an ensured way of murdering Garuda before it blasts you.

My knight (Ingus) with Ultima Weapon and Ragnarok was a damage dealing machine. My ninja just threw shurikens that whole last battle.

This is legit though. Arc may have survived another particle beam, though not if she doubled them up. If I wiped, I would have been pretty annoyed. Not sure how long those 2 dungeons took, especially because you have to do everything in the last one, but man it was a while.

Beat the game.

Characters were at level 56 by the end, jobs were Ninja, Black Belt, Knight, and Devout.

That final dungeon was insanely long, good lord. Beat Cloud of Darkness first try, and man am I happy I did. Killed her right before either she was going to act, or my healer was going to cast Curaja, and no idea which one would have happened. If she went, a particle beam would have potentially wiped the party.

Final Fantasy 3 (Steam)

Have had this for a while in the backlog, so I didn't get the Pixel Remaster (though I may eventually pick all of those up). Wasn't too bad, but man if I had lost to the final boss, that would have been a looooong slog back through the last dungeon. Thankfully, that didn't happen!

I'm playing through the Steam version since it's the one I have currently haha, though I do plan on getting all the Pixel Remasters at some point. Have had this in my backlog for a long while and wanted to finally beat it, as it's one of the last mainline FFs I haven't beaten yet (never played 11, still need to beat 13 and it's sequels/spin-offs, then get a PS5 and FFXVI at some point).

Just finished Eureka. Love the fact that you get fully healed after bosses, that was definitely a help.

Whole party is level 51, which I thought was fine. Was getting through the encounters and bosses fairly easily, until Scylla dropped Luneth with Flare that did 3400.

Damn, just walked into the Crystal Tower and that music goes hard. Steam version may not be as good as the PR, but the music has still been pretty good!

I'm pretty sure the steam version is basically the same as the DS version? What makes it so bad? Gonna finish it either way (just took down Garuda), but curious. Thinking of the pixel remasters to at least play FFs 1 and 2, mainly to see if it makes 2 improve at all.

Lost my dad unexpectedly and suddenly when I was 16, I can definitely sympathize and empathize. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that no specific words will help in a time like this, just do whatever you need to do to grieve and process. Really glad you had that long conversation with him a few weeks ago!

Pokemon Emerald

This was likely my 4th runthrough at trying to get through this game. Most of the time, I just got distracted by other things. The last run, I got 4 or 5 badges, but then got my gaming PC, so my laptop was essentially left in the dust.

Was definitely underleveled for the elite 4 (highest was Blaziken and Gardevoir at 51 after winning), but got through it. Gardevoir was MVP in the champion fight. Absol saved the day by freezing Salamence in the battle against Drake, as otherwise I was likely done. Aside from Skarmory (who I mainly had for flying and rock smashing), all my pokes in the final team were from Gen 3. This is big, because I always find it hard to go against what has given me success in the past (Gyarados, Golem, and Alakazam mostly). Final team was Blaziken, Gardevoir, Skarmory, Absol, Ludicolo, and Shelgon (was only at level 41 lol, never got to Salamence). May explore some of the post game.
