I have despair, i legit don't have anywhere else to go other than here, I was on 4chan for a while but got IP banned , tried to appeal it 4 times already and was denied each time, then I found out that appeals go through an automatic system there so mods don't look at them at all and it ust automatically goes to deny. I hate reddit because i still can't understand the site's layout and there's no sense of community there just people chasing likes and either trying to be a comedian or trying to give a speech, so if this place goes down I'll be even more bored.

Yeah reddit is basically the instagram of message forums. Everybody just goes there for likes and quick dopamine hits. It's also one of those sites where about half the activity is probably just bots anyways. That has a lot to do with why there's no real community, no real connections to be made.

This site used to be about guides. Now nobody uses them anymore since YouTube videos are the more popular option. We dont even talk about games anymore really.

We really should just merge hella boards. One social board instead of multiple random ones. Merge hip hop and r&b boards. Merge country and rock and roll boards.

Yeah I would like to see something like that, get some more activity going, bringing people together over common interests.

I've been lurking these forums since like 1999 and posting since 2002. Damn, these forums are freaking old, but have been my go to home so long. It's sad to see the popularity go down over the years. Mid-late 2000s E3 hype topics were so insane.

The 00's was the golden years of the internet. It was the best time to be online.

Its reddits fault. Reddit pretty much killed all forums on every site.

Honestly I think it really did. I remember going to a bunch of forums like IGN and GameSpot, now it's been years since I last visited those sites. I keep coming back to GameFAQs simply because I like the layout and it's always been great for game research, but there is no denying how the community here is pretty sparse and things are getting really slow compared to what it used to be like.

Like 15 years ago, CE was so active that topics usually would only be on the front page for like 10 minutes maybe. Even in the middle of the night. It was always super active. Hell, I used to hang out on the paranormal board in the early 2000s and it was pretty fast there too. Now someone posts maybe once a day there

Gamefaqs is dying. Slowly. We need new users but we aren't getting them

One thing I noticed with dying communities is how when they get new users, they always seem to be old trolls returning.

Wasnt RI more popular than CE at one point?

Yeah. This site is totally different from what it was like during it's peak. Like we maybe got 10% of the traffic we had, at best.

Now it's the only board where the front page doesn't have threads over an hour old.

Like this has gotta be by far the most active board on this forum, but even the big platform boards like the PS5 and Switch boards have really slowed down, and this has always been one of the more popular forums on the internet. Heck sometimes we got less than 1000 users logged in, and you know most of those aren't even active users.

It's like Reddit is pretty much the only forum that is really active these days, and even that is full of dying subs and it's own issues.

Now when you say antisocial, is that the mental disorder or simply not wanting to socialize? Totally different things.

When Dick's Sporting Goods snd Disney are also supporting it, you know that it's an issue that most people, and businesses support

Disney is just a soulless corporation that is constantly trying to bank off social activism while doing the old bait n switch in practice. If they truly supported human rights they wouldn't be supporting oppressive regimes like China. It reminds me of companies like Nike trying to virtue signal rights while actively exploiting sweat shops and slave labor.

Can't say I'm surprised, the industry is very political these days.

As for me, I just generally support people having more rights as opposed to less.
