I know it kinda sounds stupid but most phones I see start acting up after about 2 years. Some might say it ia because people install more and more demanding software but many times people keep the same software and dont add other crap. Factory reseting/reinstalling OS does not do much either.

I want the S8 but I wont get it unless I can get a book-like wallet case for it and glass protectors (but if the curved shape makes protectors impossible or diffucult to deal with, I might still get it as long as the wallet case exists).

Despite whatever online apps might show, I assure you that most people end up dating one of their own.

All I am asking is if you guys can recommend a phone app that teaches stuff and is not heavily video based or needs to run on a remote server (and the contects are STEM stuff, I dont enjoy anything else [i.e, im not into novels and the sort]).

I am more of a nerd than a geek and that is why I dont fit here. Learning something new is what keeps me going.

You cannot get the same degree twice. Colleges are not allowed. In a majority of cases a BA and BS are just the same crap so I am sure colleges wouldnt allow it.

Just get a Masters or an Associate's degree of some very related field/courses

Big crowd. A big part of that time is standing up with a person next to me in all 4 of my sides. It is very difficult to read a tablet in that way (and one hand must be grabbing the handrails anyway), plus it involves many train/bus transfers so even if I get lucky and get a seat, in just a few moments I will end up having to put the tablet in my bag and do it all over again. That is why a phone is ideal for this since it is already always in my hand. I think NYC is getting more and more crowded.

Guys, I have a 2 hour commute every day. What I mostly want is do sonething useful in those 4 hours of my life.

I honestly think just browsing gamefaqs and facebook (not posting much in either) is the majority of my phone use. It is very wasteful.

Besides talking to my girl and like 3-4 people I usually text/chat, my phone is not used.

You could always read some kind of book on a subject you're interested in.

I have tried that. It kinda works but it is a bit uncomfortable to read on my phone and taking my tablet out is not very convenient. NYC trains and buses get too crowded.

Today I got the closest to behing hit by a car ever.

It was my light, cars were lined up across the intersection and I was on the middle of the road then suddenly the first car (a freaking teenager with very loud music) just accelarated and crossed in red, right in front of me.

I guess he got tired of waiting for the light. Didnt care who he would hit.


Anyway, terrorists with some crazy ideal are not what will destroy us, it is the random assholes that just act without regard for the society as a whole.

All the ones I find are with videos. All the programing apps I have found also run the code on a server and so need internet which there isnt while on the train.

I guess I didnt explain well what I want.

I feel like I waste too much of my idle time (commute, while just laying in bed, etc) visiting an online forum. I wanna do something productive with it but all that comes to mind is tutorial videos on Youtube or those online course sites BUT the problem is that many times videos are not convenient when I am not going to watch them an extended period of time plus they are hard to watch on trains/buses.

What can I do instead? Is there any free site with free courses but that are mostly reading based, no videos?

I have another question that might help shed some light on the situation:

have invited two people, A and B, to take part in a game where they can win a lot of money if they correctly guess which side of a coin is facing up.

I first sit down with A, and flip three coins behind a small screen. I then remove the screen and show her the result of two of them, but the third flip I have covered up so she can't see what it is. The two coins she can see shows Heads though. I then ask her to guess which side is facing up in the coin I'm covering. What should her guess be to maximise her chances of winning? What are the odds of the coin being Heads or Tails?

I then remove the two coins showing Heads from the table, but I still keep the hidden coin covered up. A leaves the room, and B enters. 50% in both cases. In the first you said the 3rd coin is unknown so that removes the first 2 coins from any calculation

In the second case you removed the first 2 coins yourself.
