I remember hearing about that somewhere and that in the Japanese dialogue it is contextually romantic. They got far enough along with a gay Yosuke option that there are apparently some recorded English dub lines for it. I mean, the protags are always essentially blank slates, and the games are all about being outcasts from society and exploring either breaking away from society's expectations or generally being less accepted...and yet it shies away from really touching upon that particular issue aside from somewhat Kanji, and even he is left ambiguous. It's also weird that the series was okay with a gay playable character & "romance" option in Persona 2, but then it has since totally backed away from touching that beyond making some fairly one-note jokes, including P5's really awful representation of gay men. --- Winner of the Third Hacked User Contest. If he gave a bunch of people like, idk, $50,000 each, they could go back to school, afford medical bills, buy food, help their kids, etc. So many people would get so much out of that and he'd barely have a dent made in his fortune. It's just kind of sickening after a while. | dotsdfe 07/20/20 12:54:26 AM #15 | berlyman101 posted... I need to give it another try but the parts of season 3 I saw put me off. I really enjoyed season 1 and s2 was OK. S3 part 2 is significantly different and exponentially better. Part 1 was okay, but it was kind of slow at times. Part 2 has tons of action along with some major plot points, plus some payoff for some stuff that had been set up since the beginning. I'd strongly consider calling AoT my favorite anime of all time after S3P2. It was that good. InfinityMonster posted... Oh wow, I didn't even know they're up to season 3 on AoT. I saw season 1 and while it was pretty fun, there was too much monologuing and then I heard season 2 was years out, so I just ignored it going forward. It's actually approaching being totally done. Season 3 part 2 is the best anime that I've ever seen, full stop. Parasyte is also great, and Cowboy Bebop is a classic. Can't really speak on the others. --- Winner of the Third Hacked User Contest.
