There are already more areas and Olympians in the sequel than there are in the first game, along with some stuff like special Chaos challenges unrelated to the fated list. Still at least another area to go, and if the first Hades adding Demeter later down the road was any indication, potentially another Olympian (either Ares or Athena probably, going with the latter because it'll give more interesting dialogue with Arachne).

It's actually more an example that people lack basic media literacy no different than some of the braindead takes I've heard about Walter White as both are without question the main antagonists of their own stories. I disagree. Take a look at Life. Yeah, the entire human race *not just the characters* were stupid as hell, but aside from a few very major instances (the flamethrower/fuel one being completely understandable), their stupidity did not drive the plot. A clusterfuck of worst-case scenario events (think Final Destination-lite) combined with the bad guy's invincibility and intelligence drove the plot. That said, some people complained about said clusterfuck.

Another great example imo is The Thing, where aside from maybe Clark who drank too much of the stupid juice, they were all operating on paranoia, desperation, or lack of understanding, all which are clearly distinct from stupidity.

Literally the only good thing about Alien Covenant was Michael Fassbender's acting and the scenes where he plays alongside himself.

Steam has me logged at 23 hours (didn't play it since a couple days ago) for the pic posted above, but there were some times where I had the game paused because I got a phone call or realized I had something important to do around the house or some shit, so feel free to subtract an hour from that, and another two if you don't want to count Chaos Trials or surface runs

Apparently Chaos gives you the first one just by talking to them, but I've played the Early Access a bunch(30+ hours, beaten it with all weapons and started doing Fear runs) and haven't seen it yet.

They haven't given me a single drop, so I'm in the same boat as you right now.

Regarding the first patch I'm surprised how fast they changed their mind on the gathering tool restrictions. Especially since the Familiars already alleviated it a bit by giving you one use of a tool you didn't bring.

If there were 2 more familiars for the spade and pickaxe then I'd get it (and they probably will add more familiars as early access continues), but right now there's only Frinos and Toula that cover the Tablet and Fishing Pole, and I feel like bringing the pickaxe is better than the spade 9 times out of 10 because minerals are used more than the grown plants in the incantations and upgrades.

Oh, and since that got overhauled, apparently they tinkered with that aspect of the familiars a bit too, but I don't know how exactly since I didn't boot up the game yet

First patch hit, noteworthy changes include faster sprinting, not being locked out of other resource gathering since you don't have the right tool (it's now changed to the corresponding resource being more common), toning down Eris encounters, and driftwood not being the rarest substance in existence.

Say what you will about Caesar (because there sure as fuck is to say a lot about him and his legion's actions), but his dialogue where he explains himself is fantastic.

Maybe it is just my play style, but in general, the axe seems way stronger than the other weapons.

Spinning it to win it is pretty fun, not going to lie, especially when you get the Apollo boon that increases your attack range. But I really can't stand the special at all, it's a shame.

So during the Helldivers 2 fiasco, there were a shitload of people stirring the pot on there just so they could get those Jesters and get points. For those not versed in points, Jesters are worth 200, and steam points which you otherwise get for buying stuff are about 1 cent. So that post above made over $200 in points just by shitposting.

Question for anyone here who took a lot of tries to beat Hecate and get to Oceanus, was Eris present there? I know her "blessing" basically exists to be a barrier so you don't turbo through in one run thus skipping the plot like how some people managed to do with the first game, saw some people on the steam forums make the claim that they just didn't see her because it took them a hot minute to progress to the next area. Kinda want to see how exactly she "works", 'cause her smug face was always waiting in the next area since I was able to beat the respective area she appeared whenever she wasn't there.

Each weapon has 2 additional aspects (aside from base/Melinoe aspect) from what I've seen. Havent unlocked them yet myself as I've only put a couple hours into it so far

Now I get what the notice about aspects in future major updates meant, this is just like the first game. In early access, the infernal arms in the first game had 2 additional aspects, but then an update that I think also introduced Demeter added the Aspects of the non-Greek figures like Arthur and Gilgamesh.

There are clearly some early access placeholders (such as the all the keepsakes you get looking generic and at least 2 characters have generic placeholder art) but the gameplay is very solid and it has at least as many levels as the complete original game.

There's also a couple characters like Echo (who also has a placeholder robed model) and Prisoner Hades who clearly have unfinished character portraits when you chat with them, a step above the placeholder robes Charon and Narcissus have (and what Hestia had in the technical test) but still scruffy. Also no alt aspects for the Nocturnal Arms yet, but this is definitely stacked for a game considered early access. Also, there's more levels if you count the climb to Olympus.

Even in early access Hades II is some real good shit.

So do the fish do nothing aside from selling them for bones or do they have use in Alchemy like the flowers?

The way I'm taking it is that I'll probably play until I reach the equivalent of beating Hades in the first game once, then dropping it until it leaves early access. That alone would provide a nice amount of game time.
