There's plenty of music Mycro or Haste love that many people just won't "get", even with very detailed explanations about all of the weird unique things the songs are doing. Collen and Place and Cako can be plagued by this, and, on another side, Superb's taste can suffer this too. People looked askance at Super Nice Dog's very basic VGMC nominations, and some people only like major consonant 4/4 pop ballads that I'd be driven insane by, and they in turn wouldn't understand why I like half the stuff I do. Tastes are varied, of course, but more fundamentally, tastes are varied such that it can be difficult to even emphasize with the taste of other people. They'll hear a song, scoff at it, ask not even "why?" somebody likes it but "how?" they could, and fail to get over the barrier separating us from one another to Connect. My point is as follows: I don't have anything to say about this song besides "like it or not, you'll be able to understand why somebody would"maybe this is what we all should take away from this topic --- |
