The orphanage and the kids were all great though, can't wait to see where that goes in future games (and shit got surprisingly real at a few points, like with Mitsuo and the trans masseuse). For all the amazing reviews and the continued gigantic sales, that game has kind of disappeared from the critical discussion, the only more rapid vanishing I can think of for a big prestige game is Bioshock Infinite from the same year. That's very true, I suppose it's still fresh in my mind because I have a couple friends who still play it regularly (It's a fine game just never got into online), and to see it completely ignored is strange. I'd all but forgotten about Bioshock Infinite though so I know what you mean. Must have skimmed over it the first time because Control at #6 seems insane. That game is very okay (great story, so-so gameplay). --- |
