This could be looked at two ways, with what we know right now. She's telling the truth, and in the new movie they aren't related. Or, she's lying/doesn't really know, and they're related. Trailers are often misleading.

They mention in the trailer that Myers only killed three teenagers so it looks like they're throwing the sibling plot out with Halloween 2.

California already has strict gun control laws, all the people crying for more gun control must not know Cali already is on the lots of gun control band wagon.

This shooting only shows that the current laws were not enforced or that the strict gun control did not work.

California leads the charge for more gun comtrol yet here we are with them having a shooting.

Let's not exclude the possiblity the gun wasn't obtained in California. Strict gun control doesn't do much on its own if nearby areas are lax.

Stop this meme. I live in Nevada and whenever a Californian comes into a gun shop and they tell him to screw off the moment they find out where he is from.
