Yeah, I know. I just don't like thinking how old I'll end up being when they reach adulthood. Like, if I were to somehow manage to have a baby within the next year, I'd still be nearing 60 when they're just setting out on their own.

well, technically same here but it's a little more nuanced. there is no "lockdown protocol" but there are so many restrictions in shops that make it completely unenjoyable to go out unless it's a necessity. plus, I still can't visit my aging parents (paranoid) and I can't really travel (travel bans/quarantine are still in place) and I am still working from home, so yeah I'm basically locked down except going for the occasional drive or hike, only things I can do without a stuffy mask.

hell if I remember. probably yahoo, google, or msn. maybe ask jeeves. would have been around 2002 or something.

On weekdays I sleep about 6-7 hours but on the weekends I reckon I sleep for around 9-11 hours.

you would think that's best for the public, but it might not be. the "exclusivity" competition can be pretty helpful for funding game development.

for example, GD Studio got a ton of support from Epic in exchange for making Diabotical exclusive to the Epic store. While it would have been great to play it on Steam, the resources are going towards improving the game and all we really have to do as players is to install the Epic launcher to play it.

There are obviously limits to how fragmented the PC platform can be, but I feel that it will naturally come to a reasonable number.

I was thinking about the concept of slut-shaming recently. obviously there is a backlash from girls who have been called sluts. and the narrative is that other people are wrong, and not them. for example, maybe a guy learned about his gf's sexual history and said "ok basically I don't respect you anymore because I you're a slut and I can't be with you". you can imagine some "modern" reactions, like "Oh my god, how horrible, are you slut shaming me, you don't get to judge me for that", etc etc..

if I put myself in that hypothetical scenario, I am pretty sure I would react the same way. And I am trying to come to terms with the fact that I hear all the time how bad slut-shaming is, vs. how I actually feel. Is it not hurtful to invalidate someone's true feelings?

I have trouble putting this into words, but it seems there is a mass movement of basically telling people how to feel right now that doesn't make sense to me. You can't tell people how to feel. Is that too obvious?
