I think records are cool because they basically make you listen to the entire album.

However, records have become more expensive than CDs (even used ones) so IMO CDs are much better value.

i think another draw to vinyl is artwork. a vinyl offers more space to display artwork and more packaging area to include additional freebies and larger foldouts (sometimes posters) with more interesting content for fans. also having limited pressings in wild colors encourages collectors to try to collect.

I have a picture disc record that's die-cut in the shape of an inverted cross. It pretty badass.

The appeal of Vinyl is that it actually has a different sound that some people prefer over digital.

I'm pretty sure most people buying Vinyl acquire digital some other way, either via subscription (Spotify) or illegally (converting Youtube videos to downloadable MP3s).

It's pretty common these days that records include a download card to obtain the digital version too.

I've bought 7 records from 2 different places in the past week. Vinyl will always be the best format.

It's also only expensive if you're buying brand new or rare recordings. A lot of classic stuff is pretty affordable

Depends what kinda music you're into. I often buy new punk records for like $12-15. Metal records are usually more expensive.

Wild Arms 2 is a FANTASTIC game!
