But the timing was never right. Roman Reigns could not pull off this portrayal of the top star in the industry even a year ago. He wasnt weathered enough, he wasnt seasoned enough, and he wasnt experienced enough. He still looked too young. But now, you look at his face, you see some seasoning and some weathering. He was beating the crap out of his cousin inside Hell in a Cell and he says I did this to you when we were kids, and here we are 35 years old doing this, and he looks 35. He looks like a badass 35, but he still looks 35. Before he still looked like late 20s or early 30s, and he still looked too young. He wasnt grizzled, he didnt have any scars. Now, you see the wars on his face. Now, you see the pressure and the obligation and the responsibility and the accountability and the sheer burden I think thats the core word when it comes to the characterization of the top star in WWE the burden and the weight of that burden and what it has done to Roman Reigns. With us, its one of our many measurements. When you look at total, when you get into YouTube, etc we have far more fans now than we have ever had. When you look at television ratings, it is what it is. Not to say we dont want to increase them, of course we do. Aside from that, our total audience is much bigger, so you cant just hang your hat on ratings are down. Without question, we have to have a mothership, and we do with Raw and SmackDown, and from there, clips and comments and other videos, take it to the next week or the next year. Were never off the air. Its fine to say ratings are down, I wanted to give you that bit of color in terms of overall viewpoint. --- |

Hope Dak pulls through because that injury looked horrible. To Dallas' credit on their win, Dalton should be a damn good backup. Given the state of the division, Dalton could realistically lead them to a division title. Man! Loving the confidence from Carolina right now. They're feeling it right now. Just need to keep the confidence going. Defense getting strong, offense well-oiled. Davis might be one of the best additions to the team. I remember when Williams and Stewart were the RBs for Carolina. Ol' Thunder and Lightning. Davis/McCaffrey could be a new age Thunder and Lightning if they can keep the momentum and confidence going. That offense can't go crazy like that forever and Dak is clearly in a "prove it mode" considering his playing; he honestly might not attempt to return to Dallas, especially with Jerry essentially admitting he doesn't really believe in Dak. Houston seems to be in a lull. Plenty of potential on both sides, but BoB is doing NOTHING to bring it out. He has to be on the hot seat at this point. Hell, the seat should be an inferno. Two games. 2 in a row. Good to see the Panthers D finding their footing. Give up 30 the first two games and less than 25 the next two. Seems like the team has found its confidence and that's good to see. Not going to get overzealous about it though; just take it one week at a time. #KeepPounding --- |

He deserves to finally have that respite. Seeing commercials for WWE Battlegrounds featuring him playing with his wife and daughter, interviews where he's quite literally speaking on "popular multiplayer meme games like Fall Guys(never played it/don't want to, but that's besides the point.)" Just being a middle-aged American Dad enjoying what's essentially retirement with his family is just tops. It's so nice to see the man just sit in a chair and breathe a sigh of relief. Decades of it. Just decades of holding on like that. Finally, he can just be "that tattooed dude who happens to be a dad and husband and apparently a gamer." It's a feel good moment in wrestling. --- |
