Arizona is about +8 R, so this is still bad news for Trump

Democratic 2020 White House hopefuls Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg are in a statistical dead heat with President Trump among Arizona voters, according to a new poll.

In a mock-up general election, Biden has 44 percent support compared to Trumps 46 percent, according to the OH Predictive Insights poll released Monday.

Buttigieg has 43 percent support compared to Trumps 45 percent. Both of Trumps narrow 2-point leads against the Democrats are within the 3.9 percentage point margin of error.

The results show a decrease in support for the former vice president, who led Trump 49 percent to 44 percent in the state based on a May poll.

But Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., has increased his support 6 points, up from 37 percent when he was polled against Trump in May to meet Biden at the top of the field when placed against the president.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) saw a slight decrease in support, based on the poll. Sanders had 34 percent compared to Trumps 47 percent in the latest poll, down from his 37 percent compared to Trumps 46 percent in May.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) polled about the same as she did in May, decreasing 1 point from 42 percent to 41 percent compared to Trumps stagnant 47 percent when polled against the senator.

The important thing is Buttigieg leads in the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire (first 2 primaries/caucuses). Biden is also losing momentum fast and all the Biden supporters will go to Buttigieg.

Because judges, clerks, etc. are employed by the public. You don't shop around for a judge to marry you.

I get why these Hollywood elites support Buttigieg but Michael J Fox?

In recent months, actresses Sharon Stone and Alyssa Milano have contributed to Pete Buttigiegs effort to become the Democratic nominee, joining other celebrities like Michael J. Fox and Frances McDormand, who previously maxed out their donations to the 37-year-old mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

No candidate has raised more money from employees of Comcast, parent of film studios Universal Pictures and DreamWorks (as well as CNBC), and only Harris has brought in more money than Buttigieg from staffers at Disney. In total, Buttigieg has reeled in $971,009 from employees in the television, movie and music industry, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Thats behind Harris, who raised $1.18 million, but way ahead of Sen. Bernie Sanders, whos third at $612,679.

Harris said on Tuesday that her campaign for president simply doesnt have the financial resources we need to continue. She had previously canceled a fundraising event in New York, following negative media reports about her struggling organization and the loss last week of a top staffer to Michael Bloombergs campaign.

While Harris was stuck in the low single digits in most recent polls, Buttigieg has been gaining momentum, particularly in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire, where hes now leading. Buttigieg, whos bidding to become the first openly gay president, has carved out a position as a moderate who can appeal to progressives, in a race where Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren have promised dramatic changes to the financial and health-care systems.

Milano, known for her role in 1980s sitcom Whos the Boss? and 1990s drama Melrose Place, has hosted a fundraiser for Buttigieg, as well as for other candidates, and started tweeting glowingly about him earlier this year. She commended his position on gun reform last month, and posted photos of the two of them at an event on Oct. 5, tweeting that she was inspired by his vision for America.

Bradley Whitford, of The West Wing fame, has contributed at least $2,000 to Buttigiegs campaign. According to Variety, he co-hosted a fundraiser for the mayor in May along with Gwyneth Paltrow, with tickets starting at $250 a person. The story referenced other Los Angeles fundraisers on Buttigiegs agenda, including an event in June at the home of screenwriter Ryan Murphy and his husband, the photographer David Miller. Murphy donated $2,800 to Buttigieg in May.

Right-wing commentator Dave Daubenmire said on his Pass The Salt Live webcast on Thursday that the idea of Mayor Pete Buttigieg becoming president was wicked because he happens to be gay.

What Buttigieg does in the bedroom is apparently disqualifying for the presidency, but Donald Trump is just fine despite the affairs, and cruelty, and corruption, and admitted sexual assaults.

Straightness is all that matters.

Daubenmire literally defended Trumps extra-marital sex life using the argument that his straightness made his sins more acceptable than Buttigiegs.

No one thinks more about what gay men do in the bedroom than white Christian men who preach against homosexuality.

Remember that Buttigieg is married and monogamous. President Obama was the same and straight! but that didnt stop Daubenmire from condemning him every chance he had either.

The problem with Buttigieg, to these people, isnt that hes gay. Its that hes doing well enough among Democrats that theres a chance he might actually win the White House. Theyre afraid. So theyre attacking him in a way thats designed to stoke fear and hatred among the GOPs gullible, bigoted base.
