I don't care that Joe Biden fell off his bike, I don't care about Hunter Biden's crack addiction, I care about politics, who convinced you to care about those things? They also told you the marketing point that it was an illegal immigrant, and you came here faithfully to make sure we all heard. Did you want to bring up a point about illegal immigrants, that they rape more often than legal citizens? Did you verify that fact at all? We have the resources Jix, you can verify anything, I don't want to have to tell you what is and isn't true, official crime statistics are made available. I like the games but nothing comes close to the high roll fun of binding of isaac. Kind of sad, my biggest complaint is that the devs are too concerned with balance to give me that lottery-winning feeling and are trying to veer on the side of Metroid with balanced items and overcoming obstacles by improving your skills. But I'd rather have stupid high rolls.

But in a lot of these games you can kind of ignore the items if you really want since at the end of the game they'll make you maybe 30% more powerful. But in binding of iasaac it would be possible to literally be 300 times more powerful and kill bosses on frame 1 while crashing your computer a couple of times. That's like, as fun as it gets. They would still impose challenge on you as your items might just kill you from being too powerful.

I like games that basically make you a chemist, like Kirby 64.

Well because I'm in a cryptocurrency job, it's usually Discords for devs of a certain coin. I can go in and waste their time asking something that's probably been asked before.

I also am a fan of the Mudblazor UI framework, and because they push Discord so hard there isn't much documentation in terms of "how do I solve this problem".

The other side of that is that the devs will generally respond immediately.

Discord is the single worst thing to happen to developer community support because people will ask the same question 50 times until the devs get sick of answering. There is no Google, there are no topics, there is no history, everything you say is just gone.

Programming community projects shouldn't have one, and if they do it should be confined. Discord is only good at keeping people out.

Twitter has rules about using the wrong pronoun to refer to someone.
Canada passed a law about using the wrong pronoun to refer to someone.
There are videos of trasns people getting upset about being referred to with the wrong pronoun.

I can't begin to fathom why it matters let alone when so maybe a trans person should explain it. I just think it would be helpful if there was some agreement of what aspect of a person pronouns reffer to.
Sadly those are vastly outweighed by the negative treatment trans people get. If our biggest problem is that they are too well protected... that's a very optimistic problem to have. Instead, I'm worried about moving somewhere else in case the government passes a bill legislating that trans acceptance is the equivalentt of child abuse. These next 30 years are going to slide downhill in that regard, fast.

My best friend irl is trans and well she doesn't really explain why. I'm not trans so I don't know why. It just hurts being rejected and dogpiled by people without a good reason who just don't have a good grasp on the situation.

Idk, you have to put aside the bias of morality and realize that trans people have literally been around forever, they don't typically change their mind, scientific studies have validated the commitment to transition as a reasonable action to take, and lastly but most importantly, don't throw stones at mockingbirds. It's just a big jump for a lot of people who just recently learned to accept homosexuals as just a fundamental part of human nature, I was one of those people a while back and was able to change, but that's impossible to do if you're A) not capable of looking at the big picture, or B) part of some cult that controls the way you're allowed to think.

People with this weird thing called emotion don't always act in ways that make sense. They instead project emotional bias onto you, claiming you're too nice, but history shows that people don't really have an obective pro-nice-policy bias. It's more of a "cling to the old ways of thinking while scientific studies prove cigarettes cause cancer" bias, then slowly over time more people are convinced one way than they are the other because it's just harder and harder to paint the wrong picture the more scientific studies become well known facts.

I think the number of people learning to accept trans people is naturally going to grow faster than the people who don't, even if Fox News is actively hunting them for... sport and good fun.

An objective and commonly accepted historic fact is not a conspiracy by definition. You can call other people liars but I'm not going to let you project on me, because you're a liar. You are the anti-science one. The union did not suddenly adopt segregationalist thinking and fight against the anti-racist south.
