If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, download GeForce Experience. It has built-in recording.

I don't think I have NVIDIA. I checked for graphics card updates and it said there weren't any. I don't know.

Originally I wanted to record my own gameplay footage but someone told me Obs would lag on my 2011 computer, which would not be ideal so then I thought I'd just record pre-existing streams on Youtube and use that instead. I'll just dub over the audio in Moviemaker.

Hey this is XboxLegendary I'm trying to find a program that I can record the computer screen with. The Gamebar feature in Windows 10 doesn't work because it says my PC doesn't meet the hardware requirments (even though my computer isn't even that old...it's a 2011!).

Someone recommended a free one called Obs, but will it even work on my computer? Plus I don't know if it's actually Trojan horse virus if it's legit...I have no idea. I'm clueless.

I want to record other streamers on Youtube (I just want to record the screen though, not the whole Youtube screen. I just want to record the gameplay footage. Then I can removed the audio using Microsoft Movie Maker and add in my own audio later to make it seem like I'm the one doing the stream).

Though without a dedicated video encoder in your GPU, recording video might incur a big performance loss with intensive games.

What if I just wanted to record other streamer's videos on YouTube?

9 years old is old. GPU video encoding didn't become standard until like 6-7 years ago.

But my PC is a year newer than Windows 10.

I want to record gameplay footage using the record capture feature on the Xbox gamebar, a feature included in Windows 10. And I can't record because it says my PC does not meet the hardware requirements to record video! How am I suppose to record gameplay footage if my PC does not meet the hardware requirements to record video?!

I tried to update my graphics card, and it didn't work! It said there was no updates aviable. Are you kidding me, Microsoft? I hate my life right now!

And here I thought having Windows 10 free-to-use screen recorder would, but look at it now!!!!! And other sites like Bandicam want you to pay 40 bucks a month!
