#61. Dark Souls: Remastered (PS4, 2018)
Certain events led me to be excited to play this game. My initial reaction though was how slow and deliberate the combat was. l think to this day, that remains my biggest issue with this game, but really only in the starting area, and once I got appropriately stronger (and better) at the game,it was no longer an issue. I wasn't dying a lot per se (not more than a normal souls game), but specifically I was thinking of those skeletons you fight under the bridge before the dragon, and the others in that area. The shield ones with the spears. Just waiting for those assholes to attack so I could attack them back. But hey, I wound up converting my playstyle to the one the game wanted me to have and I suddenly was enjoying the game much more. Parrying, dodging, luring enemies one at a time. It's very deliberate and not something I usually like in other action game settings, but works really well here thanks to the extra difficulty.

My experience was sort of like MSG's. I actually did start as a Pyro, but I think I was not making full use of being a pyro and thus contributed to some of that slow going. But getting more spells and experience and I was off. This was the second game I played in this style of game. I will probably talk more about these games when I get to another one, but I think that Dark Souls 1 in particular is just an engaging experience between a nice wide range of weapons or spells to use, challenging/frustrating bosses, limited health refills, and the idea of exploration all work. The setting is fine, not the most engaging though. Anor Londo and the Duke's Archives are cool. Fuck complete darkness though, yknow what I'm saying.

Anyway, I wanted to have a specific section here for Ornstein and Smough (or as I call them, Rosencratz and Guildenstern since I kept forgetting their names). I was just getting DESTROYED by these guys. I was always focusing on Ornstein first, but he was just destroying me. I tried all sorts of different strategies, using my magic first on him or not, being aggressive, being dormant, trying to separate the 2. I don't think I've ever spent so long in on one boss in a game. Eventually, I made a switch over. I think I was using some sort of hand axe before, over to a straight sword and it helped a bunch, but I was still getting my ass handed, but now I was actually beating Ornstein sometimes, but I'd be so low on everything I couldn't handle Super Smough (love that mid-fight cutscene btw). I would pelt Smough with all my fire spells, but would struggle with him blocking them inadvertently with his hammer. And even when I could hit him with all the firepower I could, I still had to get in close with my straight sword and whack his foot and roll away, and that took tons of time. And finally I triumphed. If you want to see a man who is not very good at games persevere using all his cunning and might in a fight where he is clearly overmatched, you can watch my struggle here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzu-f0_rgtk

Anyway, I think I can talk more about these games in general later, but those are my specifics for this one! Love the Anor Londo scenery when you first get there.

And fuck these guys obv:

#62. Punch-Out!! (Wii, 2009)
I enjoy the original NES Mike Tyson's Punch Out a good bit,for being a relatively simple yet fun timing /sort-of puzzle game. I never really got into Super Punch Out, but this sequel(?) is so much fun.

Playing through this relatively short game is something I find myself returning to every so often, even already sort of knowing how most of the patterns go. There is just a great appeal to being this small dude, dodging and weaving these gigantic caricatures, and then punching them in the face, getting a nicely timed star, or delivering that oh-so-satisfying star uppercut.

The fighters are mostly all ones we're familiar with from past games, and have a lot of... uh, character. Ok fine they're a little bit racist. Nevertheless, their little 3-scene stories before each fight are fun, and all of them are so cocky and sure of themselves, it's satisfying to confuse them by dodging and countering! The fighters all have old tricks and some new ones, so it manages to feel fresh from start to end. The new (or more-ignored) fighters are all great too. Also they really made Sandman intimidating andscary, and some of those later fights like his are pretty hard, but like a very doable level of hard. What I like about this game is you will fail a lot, but you will feel yourself improving with each try. Learning new strategies, getting the timing right, figuring out when to do your star punches. It fits perfectly in the underdog theme of the game.

What really puts this game over the top for me though is the Rematch round. After defeating Sandman and winning the belt, everyone is back for another run at you, and now they've all greatly improved! And are doing some tricky shit. When I first saw the Glass Joe rematch and he had a goddamn kickboxing helmet on, I lost it. And he's legitimately much trickier (at least if you don't know what to do, which you might not), but hey, not being able to punch Glass Joe in the head is a disadvantage! All of them have new quirks, are much faster and harder to figure out, might have some additional... assistance.... in their fights like Great Tiger's clones or Aran Ryan's horseshoes-in-the-gloves and.... wait is that King Hippo... with a FUCKING MANHOLE COVER over his belly!? Love that moment. That's a fun fight too, when you figure out what to do. The final fight against remix Sandman is great also. And I keep saying when you figure out what to do because this is a hybrid puzzle game, with some Rhythm mixed in, under the guise of a boxing/fighting game. And that's fun. Oh, and you can fight DK! He's not easy.

Also I love the blindfolded run of this from GDQ a few years ago by zallard, make sure to check that out. One of the best and most tense speedruns I've ever seen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUpT7fHi1lA

Next up: This game features the non-optional boss I've probably struggled against the longest of any before finally succeeding.

#63. Mario Party 2 (N64, 1999)
Of course, the 3rd hexagon in a row here, meaning Hexagon Heat (and for my clue, well think of the teams in those cities). I could've probably ranked most of the good Mario Parties (4 and 8) in a similar spot around here, so consider those to be sort of close, though not really officially on my top 100 as 2 is pretty easily the best. Shoutout to those other 3 though.

It's a board game. I love board games! It's mini-games. I love mini-games! Its Mario characters, I love not Luigi! To me, these games, especially the earlier ones get a bit too much hate for being luck based. Sure, there's luck, but there's really a ton of strategy to board movement and planning. Plus all the skills of learning at and getting good at the mini-games. It all makes for an enjoyable experience of strategy, skill, and just a touch of luck. That's a great combination. These are also great games with friends, easily re-visitable at a good length of game.

The mini-games overall are best in 2, getting rid of those pesky rotating stick ones, as are the themes of the boards and the fact you get custom costumes for each. I was also a big fan of each board having its own specific Dual game to add to the flavor.

One fun thing I came up with friends is the fact you can categorize each mini-game's name into one of 3 buckets, 96% fall into one of these, and is great for poking fun at all the facepalm awful names
1- Alliteration
2- Rhyming
3- A Play on Words (3a = an exact phrase,3b = a pun, 3c = a turn on a common phrase)

That's all I can think of to say about the games so here are some of my favorite minigames in no real order!
Hexagon Heat
Bombs Away
Tipsy Tourney
Skateboard Scamper
Shy Guy Says
Look Away (Mind games!)
Bobsled Run
Sky Pilots
Speed Hockey
Day at the Races
Crazy Cutters
Face Lift
Time Bomb

Also Bumper Balls sucks and is overrated as fuck, come at me

Best game in the series is Dungeon Duos in MP4 though!

#64. Heroes of Might & Magic III (PC, 1999)
HOMM 3! I bet there's a lot of other similar games like this I don't know anything about and I bet none of them are anywhere near as good, and my main basis for saying that is none of the other games in this series are any good (as far as I know, I think I tried a bit of V and VI and it's just not the same at all).

This game has a campaign mode that I've dabbled in but sadly it's difficulty locked onto easy for most of the start of it, and I could never really push myself through it, but where this game is truly great is in its pre-made scenarios (that anyone can custom make and upload also) or its random maps. The gist behind this game, if you don't know, is each player controls a home base where you can build one building per day, usually troop generation but sometimes other bonuses or benefits like a Mage Guild to learn spells, or a Marketplace to trade resources at better rates, etc. You recruit a hero , with their own unique stats and bonuses, give them a bunch of troops and set them out on their way to explore the world- collecting daily resource generation, learning new skills, gaining experience, fighting monsters that might be guarding portals to other areas, artifacts, gold, what have you. Maybe you can even find another town and really pump up your unit generation!

As you manage your town, you will slowly build up more and more units, and explore with your different heroes (make sure to have a couple heroes specifically to attack and some specifically to explore!) until you run into your enemies, and you can engage them and take their stuff, or take their towns once you find them!

The actual combat comprises of your units and your enemy's units on a hexagon grid and you have it in usual Turn-Based Tactical RPG fashion, while you and your opponent launch spells at each other. That part is fine and mostly what you expect, but that combined with the unique strategy involved in how you build up your town, progress around the map, split up your units/magic/artifacts, delegate what heroes are doing what, and really just control your heroes movement around a giant map, probably featuring oceans and underworld, makes this a really appealing micro and macro-management game, layered over a tactical RPG. Tons of planning out, it can get a bit tiresome, but its fun and rewarding, with different strategies for every faction. Necrodancers are probably the most fun, generating hoardes of skeleton units as they beat up on rando stacks, so are Conflux with its elemental-based units, and Fortress but only because they have the best mid-level unit in the game, Mighty Gorgons, but every faction has its own unique touches and units.

Also note the version on Steam is lacking. It is missing all the expansions, random maps, and one of the factions. If you can get your hands on the original "Complete" version, check this game out if you haven't played. Though I think I'm probably overdescribing a game a lot of you have actually played at some point, but oh well. This game is micro/macro-management heaven. Also I played lots of hours of this game with my friend in college.

Next up: Pittsburgh, Dallas, Houston, Washington?

#65. Mega Man 3 (NES, 1990)
Hey don't copy me nick geez.

Mega Man 3 is, spoilers, the highest Mega Man game on my list. It was 5 for a while, but I think I realized I liked this one more somewhere along the way. It may not have the best music (2) or best all around stuff (5), but I think it's the best experience. I really enjoy the stage design and robot master design in this one. I like that it has the extra 4 stages after you beat the Robot masters, and you go in and you fight the Mega Man 2 robot master clones, I always loved that, how they descend from the Sky into the Dark Man robots or whatever. I also think this MM game had the best overall level of challenge.

Also while I don't love Protoman as much as Nick, I do like him a lot and this being his first appearance is meaningful! This game also has my favorite track in the MM classic series (Wily Stage 3 and 4). I think in the end all the Mega Man classic games are very similar, and thus they are vaguely close to each other on my list, with just little things sticking out making them click more. Here then I would just sum it by saying its the 4 remix levels and the addition of the slide for the first time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNM7ydpIysE
A bit short on the loop, but I think one of the deeper tracks instrumentally.

And yeah Needle man is the best stage theme. Snake is 2nd

Up next: A game I can only think of to describe as Strategic Exploration

#66. Hexcells (PC, 2014)
Minesweeper but on crack. This game for all intents and purposes is the 3 Hexcells games - including Hexcells Plus and Infinite, as they're just extensions.

Hexcells is a simple puzzle game based on hexes. At its basic form, you get a number and you know the # of surrounding "filled in" cells surrounding that one, like Minesweeper. However, the puzzles are all deterministic, not stochastic, which is the main draw. That is, everything can be figured out through a straight line of logic, without guessing. There's often several ways to do it, but you will NEVER have to guess. The puzzles are specifically designed in this way. You will often start with just a small amount of "interior" clues inside the hexes, if any, and perhaps a larger amount of "exterior" clues, that is, around the edges. And you will eventually branch out from just knowing your one little section, into systematically solving the whole puzzle. The way it builds, teaching you one "style" of clue, and then expanding on it into more complicated puzzles, before throwing multiple types of clues together is great but simple game design.

Anyway, beyond the basic, you get into more complicated styles of clues besides simple adjacency. There's clusters, anti-clusters, paths, segments, and all the same applies to rows of hexes as opposed to just surrounding. It's a very thinking and logical kind of game, and that stuff always appeals to me. A big part of the draw here though is its ultra-minimalist presentation. Just some soothing background music, with cells against a white screen. That's it. It's a mentally relaxing and yet stimulating experience, if you like these kind of puzzles, like Picross or Minesweeper.

#67. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy, 1994)
If you ask me to name a song from a Game Boy game, the song from the first level in Wario Land is going to be immediately what I think of. This game to me is as classic 8 bit platforming goodness as it gets. Playing as the villain, or at least the villain of the prior game, was a fun concept. Then exploring levels, this is one of the very first games I played that has a ton of secrets and alt exits and stuff to hidden within its platforming. Finding the hidden treasures throughout the game required a bit of creativity and semi-puzzle solving. In some cases, some levels change after you beat them, opening up new areas, andallowing you to discover these hidden keys/treasures, or alternate exits, (leading of course to more treasures). These were always the most satisfying to find as it felt cool to accomplish AND the more you found, the better ending you'd get (Basically Wario gets a better castle at the end the more you find)!

The powerups in this game are unique and well-designed. Wario's main attack is his dash attack, but he powers up with GARLIC of course, instead of Mushrooms. Then you have the Bull power up which allows to smash down on blocks, and also gives longer and more powerful dashes. The Dragon Hate, giving flamethrower power, and the best hat, the Rocket Wing hat, making Wario faster and allowing rocket propulsion through stages (aka the speedrunners best friend). Often you'd need one of the specific powerups to get to the secret bits of the game.

Another cool aspect to the game was how it used coins... you could press up and A to generate a + coin from what you've collected in the level, worth 10 coins, and use that as a weapon, to activate checkpoints, or sometimes the end of the level. At the end of each level you could also gamble your collected coins in chance games to get more (the coins, like the treasures, assist in getting a better ending).

The final boss is Captain Syrup, someone who has made a decent bit of Wario appearances, usually as the final baddie, who has summoned a genie to kill you. When you win, you get the genie, and Wario wishes for a BIG CASTLE, but this is when the genie asks you to literally pay him, and this is where the treasure and coins you've collected comes into play, what kind of asshole genie makes you pay him what the fuck. Also you bomb the final tower you fought Syrup in to find a HUGE gold statue of Peach, that Mario comes by and just airlifts out of the sky while Wario watches helplessly, what a jerk. If you get all the treasures and max out your coins you get your face on the moon though!

All in all, a great little platformer, with a bunch of hidden secrets that are fun to find, levels that alter a bit as you beat them or other levels, so you can go back and discover more, including a whole optional world (!!!), neat powerups, and a weirdo ending all make for a great game!

#68. Super Mario 64 (N64, 1996)
Look I still love this game, it definitely used to be in my top 25 on my list I didn't really have. Replaying it recently in 3D All Stars though made me realize it definitely had its share of issues. I don't think it will ever leave my top 100 games. The control is really unforgivably bad at some points. The camera is also terrible, when it locks out and won't go certain directions (Hi Volcano). That's really it though, beyond that this game is delightful. Obviously. I love the open world mission-based Mario game design more than the standard world after world one as a general formula. Exploring the overworld and all its secrets, finding and getting to the different worlds, and then the non-linear design of all the actual levels is great. Replaying it removed some of the nostalgia aspect (which is still an important aspect to my list!) as I think some of the levels get a little tired after a bit, but the levels are still imaginative and have enough variety in level design and star placement to make it fun. Music too, a standout. I do think there are a lot of bad stars, I did a list of these in discord at some point and there were a lot more than I thought there were. Like half of the 100 coin ones, some ones are unintuitive unless you know what you're doing like Blast Away the Wall (which wall????), and like anything involving the volcano or water levels (usually I don't automatically dislike water levels, but don't think they're particularly fun in this game). Oh and the Wing Cap sucks, and those chests that shock you if you go out of order. I could go through so many of the stars I hate but I don't want to be negative anymore since I like this game so....

Ok but now stuff I do like!
-All the bowser levels
-The Penguin race (or anything on Cool Cool Mountain except for the Snowman's head)
-Traversing around the lava world (not the volcano)
-Exploring the pyramid, and riding the shell around that level
-Climbing up tall tall mountain, and finding the secret slide

I have a list of all the stars I hate too though so ask me and I'll gladly share those too- but it really says a lot how much there are things I don't like at all about this game and yet still like it so much, on its own merits, even all this time later. The fact it was so important to me as a child is still valuable!

Also check out the blindfolded 16 star run of this from GDQ because it was incredible

#69. Skies of Arcadia Legends (Gamecube, 2002)
I haven't played this game in probably 20 years and honestly I'm skeptical I might still have it in my top 200 if I replayed it, but I remember it fondly enough from my childhood that I'm comfortable enough to include it here. The things that stand out to me are the relatively simple but still engaging plot featuring some good twists, the likeable if not a bit boring characters, the graphics being pretty cool for the time, the music which was fantastic, and the battle system which I thought was pretty innovative at the time. The main one involving switching the element of your weapon on the fly to get the proper matchups and a Focus system involving when you can use your ultimate. It was simple but effective. The main draw were the ship battles where you had to plan out exactly when and how you were attacking several turns in advance, counter to what the other ships were doing.

The game itself has a large focus on discovery and adventure, like finding hidden islands with treasure and whatnot. I mean hey the whole game is pirates. So all this hit my kid senses. But honestly this should probably be much lower on my list but this is where I have it for now!

#70. Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2, 2001)
(Roger Maris is famous for breaking the HR record with 61 yknow?)
I love stealth games. Sneaking around, being creative in how you might distract or subdue or just get an enemy is atype of game I enjoy and this. And you have Kojima, and I think of this game as peak Kojima, with all the weird humor, and stuff he does with this game. And plot. Lots and lots of plot that doesn't really make any sense whatsoever, but that's so much of this games charm. Starting from the whole opening sequence, where you play as Snake, before he "dies" and then you have the bulk of the game in tanker playing as Raiden of course. I am struggling again with stuff to say about this game. If you've played it you know. It's just so wonderfully weird. Iroquois Pliskin, grabbin some junk, a uh... fatman who skates around dropping bombs, living on through an arm, a slithery vampire, a woman who repels bullets but wants to die by bullets, a very odd brother-stepsister relationship, a fear of bugs, everyone's a simulation, everyone says weird shit, fighting like 30 gigantic fucking mechs all at once, a man who wishes to be Doc Ock, clones clones clones clones clones nanomachines clones, WHAT DAY IS IT WHAT DAY IS IT, LIKE A TON OF HOUR LONG CUTSCENES . Everything is just sensory overload but its great and I love it. But yeah, the gameplay in these are always great and creative and this one is no exception, though just going around the Strut can get a bit tiresome. The ending boss sequence is so memorable though, and that final cutscene sequence, and like everything with Emma, I know everyone hates her and I get it, but all this stuff is so Kojima. Also the MGS2 main theme slaps. Look I'm sorry this game is just batshit insane

Next up: A JRPG whose main theme reminds me a lot of Indiana Jones, and maybe slightly fitting for the game too

#71. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS, 2008)
For a game series that is entirely puzzle based game play, and just one after another, with what winds up usually being a strong story in between... well, that's exactly what this is!
As is the case with Layton games, the plot is here is a weird impossible scenario, how can this be happening! This is not physically possible! And the reasoning is "oh... well this is actually physically possible but excuse me what the fuck?" and the remains the case here. I don't really want to talk about the plot specifically in these games, but this one is extra wild and hilarious between what is seemingly going on (time travel!?) and what is actually going on (??????). Anyway, if its not obvious by now I like puzzle games, especially when they can be strung together by a good narrative and this does that. The cutscenes are great and colorful, with good voice acting. And obviously Layton is a TRUE GENTLEMAN. I think the walking around tapping random shit until you find a puzzle or a hint can get a little tedious, but its definitely forgivable. Shoutout to Diabolical Box though for having the amazing cutscene where he SWORDFIGHTS A GODDAMN VAMPIRE...well sort of but not really a vampire. The ending of this one is legitimately emotional though!

#72. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Genesis, 1993)
I never beat this game, but I sure played it a hell of a lot with my friend (who was the owner of this game). We never really got that far, but I sure loved the couple hours or so I could get into this game before not making it further. It was a surprisingly tense experience and really felt like the maximum you could possibly do for a "survival" style game in 1993. No, you don't need to, nor should you, kill every single zombie or you will run out of your better ammo. You gotta save those bazookas and lawnmower shit and super potions for when you really need them! Strategizing your ammo usage, finding the right paths around each level's maze to save the neighbors around the map (you need to save all of them to get to the next level... unless some die but I think that makes you lose a life? I forgot). The maze-like design of each level worked really well in this game. Adding in a finite amount of keys vs the much larger amount of locked doors or chests containing items made you really consider when and where to use your keys. Good feeling of helplessness as you run around loss, just trying to find that last neighbor, or extra key, or whatever it is you need while holding off the zombie masses as your ammo whittles down.

The Jason-like chainsaw guys really stick out the most in my mind, when you are trying to escape them in that hedge maze level, they can cut through the walls and just kill you super fast and your ammo is pretty goddamn worthless vs them unless you use stronger ammo, but they'll just respawn anyway so RUN FOR IT

The level we'd commonly get stuck on as I recall was the giant baby zombie, which quite frankly the first time that thing absolutely ZIPS BY YOU at LIGHTNING SPEED on screen and you can't really make out quite what you see at first is one of my scariest moments of gaming. Beyond that, we wouldn't get too far after that. I remember the shopping mall level with the Chuckie dolls being difficult, and I think the furthest we got was the ant monster level. Hearts beating with intensity the deeper you get into this game, geez.

Still, fun weapons, great game design befitting of surviving zombies especially for its time, great music, good maze-like level design, and good strategy in your pathing and item management make for an all around great, if not hard game.

Truly a master-class game in goddamn fear and intensity. For 1993!

Oh! And I also wanted to say the style of this game is hilarious. The fact it can be both funny and scary at the same time is fantastic. The levels are laid out in sort of "episodic" format. So each stage starts with a title screen that sounds like a bad ripoff horror movie like "FORTY FEET OF TERROR IN..." "LEVEL EIGHT: TODDLER TERROR",
or "MORE SHOCKING THAN LEVEL FIVE" "LEVEL SIX: PYRAMID OF FEAR". its a great touch

#73. Mario Kart 64 (N64, 1997)
I think this game was in my Top 25 like 10 years ago. It's definitely faded a bit with time, as there are definitely more superior and just as fitting entries in the series, but this is the one I'll remember the most fondly, and in-and-out obviously. I never was a big fan of racing games, but the thrall of having Mario characters in it, with colorful and familiar locations, plus being styled as a party game with items was the cincher. I was never really a big fan of the SNES one, I thought the controls weren't good enough, nor any racing game for the SNES really with just a D-Pad. And even then the environments of the levels were boring. Here, the levels themselves were the main attractions. Driving in areas that didn't really actually exist but really felt like they should and that that's what they would look like-a DK level, a Bowser castle level, Wario with his own stadium with his face everywhere, etc. The environments of these levels made them feel like they fit perfectly with that character/their game, or just as an environment in general. Even the non character specific ones, like Frappe Snowland or Banshee Boardwalk feel right in the context of the game. The items made it fun, absolutely would not befun without them, and I think they're a good balance of being just useful enough tohave an impact but not too useless to be pointless. Plus the fact you get worse items while further ahead is good.

Obviously, multiplayer. Grand prix style was always a great time and I continued to play this long with friends after the N64 was falling to the wayside. Probably played more Battle than GP though, great tactics in those modes with friends. The quirk that sticks out the most to me is the fact different levels, especially in this mode, had different GPU speeds, so some levels would run really fast or really slow (hi skyscraper). I think the fact Yoshi's Canyon can't tell you who is in first is related to this too? Anyway, Battle mode is great.

And of course the great "secret" of visiting Peach's castle in royal raceway.

#75. Mega Man 5 (NES, 1993)
Look I'm gonna be honest here. This has long been my favorite Mega Man and I don't really remember why, it's been a bit since I played it. I think though it mostly had to do with collectingthe MEGAMANV tokens, I enjoyed those as secrets, the fact it has a MYSTERIOUS VILLAIN WHO IS TOTALLY NOT DR. WILY and then it's actually not Dr. Wily at all, and the inclusion of the Jet and Punch suit types made for some interesting variations on gameplay.
But most importantly, it has 2 of my favorite robot masters -one for the robot master himself,Napalm Man, just thought he always looked cool plus he's blue and orange and gives Mega Man those colors, how can I not love him? And my favorite robot master stage in Gravity Man, just a fun idea for a stage.

#74. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PS4, 2019)
"Dark Souls but..." this time its Samurai. This game came out just around the time I was really getting into this genre of games, and I appreciated this game's different take on the "series", with more of a focus on boss combat, and taking out regular enemies with stealth. Or at least that's how I played it. Plus, moving around in this game just felt better than it did in its brethren. There's a ton of minibosses which are at least modestly unique, but the major boss battles all are pretty cool and fun to fight. Some of my favorites are against Electrically charged Genichiro, Guardian + Headless Ape, Owl Father, and the final Isshin Battle. Not Demon of Hatred though, fuck that guy.
Also the game looks fantastic, and learning the counters and ways to handle each specific miniboss or major boss is satisfying.

#76. Back to the Future: The Game (2010, PS3)
GREAT SCOTT! I know, this is heavy. I am a huge BTTF fan, so this game was perfect for me.
As I said in my hint, this Telltale game does an absolutely fantastic job of showcasing what a 4th movie would've been like... or really, there's probably at least 3 movies of content in these 5 episodes, if not more, but we can consider it a 4th movie! It being a Telltale game you know exactly what you're getting as gameplay, and it's fine there. The point and click style "puzzles" are satisfying if not really challenging at all in what you're supposed to do, but still remain clever. Other than that, the rest of this is me talking as if it were a movie! No spoilers though, just the basic plot.

The story starts right after the end of the 3rd movie (well technically after a fakeout dream sequence where Marty re-imagines the start of the first movie going a bit differently), with Doc having gone on his train adventures, but not returning, so everyone believes he is missing and start estate selling his stuff off. The DeLorean somehow shows back up empty with a message from Doc needing help from Marty at... some point in the past as, naturally, it turns out he's been killed at some point. So another adventure awaits!

It's everything you'd expect a several-plot BTTF movie(s) to feel like (I believe the directors were at least modestly involved). It hits all your usual beats from the movies, a lot of the same types of jokes, a fantastic set of humor, but introduces its own freshness to the mix too. So it really is not like a re-hash of the old movies like you could argue the 2nd and 3rd movies were (only in the sense it does dip its pen into the going back into a timeline we just fixed because we also fucked something else up so we have to fixt he timeline again, though still different from the way BTTF2 did it). We get some new characters and relatives, they're pretty entertaining for the most part as characters. The overall plot and writing is simply outstanding, keeps you compelled the whole time with high stakes. It has good twists and turns, good references to the old movies, and the one little bit of things that characters will remember in a Telltale game is present in the alias Marty chooses for himself in the past (I chose Michael Corleone). The story takes place in several different time periods, and it weaves together well, and as always, this series does a great job with making sure inconsistencies and time travel related stuff all makes good story sense, doesn't get overly confusing for a time travel story, and has impeccable attention to detail in keeping the story accurate. The ending is a bit silly, but I guess the movies endings are too!

The voice acting is excellent. Christopher Lloyd reprises himself (and possibly other versions of himself). They got someone else for Marty and his Michael J Fox impression is impeccable (MJF does have a cameo at some point). Everyone else does a great job as well.

If you liked the BTTF sequels and the way that trilogy carried itself out, this is a must play. Although I'm not sure it's still available, but watching the "movie" version on youtube should still get the job done pretty well!

All in all, a fantastic love letter to the movies, with a ton of care put in.

Next up: A boss in this game is un-cannon-ically a Mets fan?

#77. Shovel Knight (PC, 2014)
Yes, the word "implemented" was important!
Somehow a retro breath of fresh air kind of games keeps on remaining a breath of fresh air. Maybe one of the (key words) last great retro platformers to come out before maybe losing some luster, Shovel Knight was a quirky twist on your Mega Man and/or Mario 3 style- using obviously a shovel as your main attack, but picking up a bunch of special weapons along the way. Maybe I only say Mario 3 for the level select style, but thats fine.I find myself struggling of things to say other than it's just a game that's perfectly my alley and feels great. Having the Scrooge McDuck pogo bounce be a main traversal/enemy attack mechanic is one that is always desired for me in games. Adding the Dark Souls element too of when you die, youlose all your cash and need to go back to collect it works too. A lot of flavor in all the enemy boss knights, and the characters and mini-games you can interact with in the main town. And wow, has this game really exploded in its popularity. One day, I need to play all its DLCs, they seem really deep and nice and lore-y from what I can tell.

Up Next: The 4th movie to a fantastic trilogy.

#79. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS3, 2011)
Hi bartz

This clearly isn't going to be the last time I talk about this series so I'll keep it more brief here and a lot of what I think also echoes his feelings, but this game isn't quite as good or memorable as some of its other entries, and comparing to them it doesn't do as well, but that's not quite fair because it's still a great game with its own standout moments and sections, in a series where moments and setpieces and grandeur and cinematography reigns supreme. I think why I like this less might just be it's placement in the series, where it had started to feel a bit worn out with similar story arcs 3 times over, but hey, everything you love here that I loved in the other games, namely the good stuff I said, is still here. Climbing around on crazy or ancient shit is always fun, maybe uninteresting, but made up for by the fantastic visuals and presentation. Uncharted is a summer movie flick in game form and the formula worked for most of the games in the series. The gun combat is solid too. Nolan North is his usual self. Cutter is good? The British lady villain is good. The suit dude is whatever. The plot is the weakest of the 4 main games, but I do think the slow decline in supernatural is cool to see viewing the series from a distance

Anyway, SET PIECES! The stowaway plane sequence is fantastic, so is the caravan chase, and especially the sinking ship, as it tosses about and gravity plays a fun part.

And yeah, the multiplayer here. I think it did overcomplicate 2 a bit, but all the additions were fun and felt pretty good once you learned them all. 3 also really fleshed out the modes and co-op a lot from 2, and that was a ton of fun to go through. And The Labs in 3's multiplayer was the highlight, they really got to experiment with some neat modes and ideas. Notably, GRENADE DODGEBALL (oh shit!)

Next up (77, since I did 78): Another retro-inspired game, implemented quite well.

WTF Wigs, the only thing Fire Emblem and Into the Breach have in common is that it's turn-based on a grid. Pretty much every single other aspect of both games are completely different.

It's maybe not as same as I made it out but I think the similarities still go a little bit deeper than just that but fair enough, not right of me to call it Fire Emblem with mechs.

#80. Into The Breach (2018, PC)
A Tactical RPG appears! This game very much scratched the ol' Fire Emblem bug I had been craving when it came out, because the new Fire Emblem games are not quite my speed, but I'm pretty sure the core gameplay still is. Into The Breach is basically condensed and semi-procedurally generated Fire Emblem with customizable mechs. You pick your team, which has their own base stuff they start with, and go into maps where you have to stop the enemy monsters from attacking the cities, power plants, trains, and your own mechs themselves. There's 4 islands with several missions each, where you stop these monsters. The cities and buildings have an overall life meter that once that's depleted, you lose. Like Fire emblem, you lose a mech, you lose the pilot associated with it (I think you keep the mech and you can slot another pilot into it, but they may not be as leveled or have the ability you want). There's a ton of customization around the pilots, the mech's abilities and stats (you put points into what you want basically), and a shop where you can buy more stuff or points (you get the "currency" by achieving specific goals on each mission, like protecting a specific building or killing a certain enemy). Each run does not last that long too so you can play a little more aggressively which is neat. If you complete 4 areas on 4 islands, including the boss on each, you win! Generally you don't have to beat all the baddies, you just need to survive 5 or so turns. There'sother neat tactics you can take too like standing on spots where the enemies will spawn, so they don't (but you take some damage), or pushing enemies into water so they circuit out, or knocking them out of the path of attacking a building and into the path of attacking another enemy (you are told the order in which they will attack, so that is quite relevant)!

Anyway this is just a neat spin on Fire Emblem with a lot of different strategy, customization, a bevy of troops to start with and an all-around addicting game! No story here, but that's ok, it's a bit too short per run to have one. This is another game I bet I could have higher on a good day.
Oh, and from the makers of FTL, a game not on my Top 100, but still a quality game.

#81. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES, 1995)
Not Diddy Kong's Quest, of course. On the surface, I was annoyed by this game since I liked DK more than Diddy (I generally never like the "second fiddle" characters as much), but playing it its definitely just a much better version of the first game. Better music, more memorable environments/levels, more secrets and alt exits and coins and stuff to find, more animal friends (and way more interesting ones), plus the addition of Dixie's hover pigtail spin adds a strong layer of exploration, always a welcome addition to platformers.

All the beehive and ice cave stuff stands out in my mind a lot for level design as it compares to the first game. And find, the brambles. The key selling point to me is the ways in which it uses all the animals to get through the levels. The spider and rattlesnake are great additions, and they use all the prior ones from DKC1 in fun ways too. Not too much else to say about this game besides stuff I covered in DKC1, it's pretty much a superior game in almost every way over it.

Next up: Sorry can't come up with a good clue for this game so I'll just say its a Tactical RPG

#82 Braid (PS3, 2008)
The game that launched a thousand indies. Simply, a neat and creative puzzle game centered entirely around time travel was a puzzle game I always knew I needed and finally got. The art style looks very eloquent and these are some tricky puzzles that really make you feel good for solving them. The way it keeps expanding on the time mechanics is great, between stuff that is and isn't affected by time, things that move with you, areas where time stops, items that break permanently, and the ring of slowing shit down. All good stuff. I like how the puzzle pieces also were a part of the solution sometimes too (ie, creating an extra platform). I think there may have been some points where my solution was cheesed though. I think this game does run a little pretentious with its plot, but I guess it needed to be framed around something. The moment that stands out for me is one level I was stuck on and was just messing around until I realized that the enemies can bounce off of YOUR head completely by accident!

So yeah, fun puzzle game, and I'm glad it exists for the fact that a lot of my favorite indie games would not exist without it. We'll be seeing those later. Looking forward to replaying this on the remaster this year, and finally getting that damn 4 hour star.

Up next: A game with a subtitle that at some point you probably realized you have been calling the wrong name all these years. I think everyone knows this by now but if not, prepare to have your mind blown?

actually the Lolo series started out with the Eggerland games on the MSX. Some of the games had a level editor, and others had the levels strung together in a "dungeon" format. The first Adventures of Lolo game in the US was actually a new game/remix of older levels in the vein of Snakebird Primer aimed at less experienced players (the levels in the US versions of Lolo "2" and "3" are also different/easier, and the european version of the game boy one added some easier levels before getting to the harder ones)

it's a pretty neat series (other than some dumb things like forcing enemies to respawn in different locations that can only be figured out through trial and error) and it would be cool to see a modern revival of it.
i agree! I'll give 2 and 3 a go at some point. I have a NES classic with them, so no excuse

a bunch of EBA "spoilers" are below so just take heed

#78. Elite Beat Agents (DS, 2006)
What a fantastic, wacky, and lovably charming little game this turned out to be. Honestly, should be higher (sorry I'm gonna do this a lot probably, so I just did and made it number 78). I think everyone knows what kind of game this is but just in case, its a Rhythm game based on tapping circles on your DS touchpad to the indicated (and sometimes syncopated) beats. You play a group of agents tasked with helping the general community with various perils they are in, ranging from... y'know I was gonna list em here but I'm about to rank em below so have fun!

The scenarios are (basically) all fantastic and weird, and all have a ton of heart. How well you do at the song, shows the characters either succeeding or failing at what they're trying to do,in different parts, based on what part of the song you're on.And then ultimately passing the song succeeds in their goal... or fails if you fail, obviously. With a Phoenix Wright style wrap-up image at the end. The track list is pretty solid, though not fantastic but I could barely tell you that most(all?) of them are covers. Ultimately, we save the world from music-hating Rhomulan aliens to the rockin' tunes of Jumpin Jack Flash, but not before making a little girl not sad about her ghost dad, to You're The Inspiration, which is really sad and gets me every time (the beats in this song sound different than the rest). I also like all the characters show up in each other's scenarios, and then they're all at the end obviously. Makes it feel like a nice little community where these people all know each other.

Anyway, I suppose I will rank the scenarios, based on some unknown combination of Song and Scenario.

Note this is the general overall order of my list, which takes precedent over the way I named the categories which aren't perfect.

A Tier of their own:
You're The Inspiration--A daughter and her mother cope with the tragic death of her father at Christmas :(

Jumpin' Jack Flash-- The community has held off the music-hating aliens for now!! But they have turned our to stone!! Only the power of music can save them now!!

Good or Great songs/Great plots:
September--An overworked weatherlady finally has a weekend to spend with her son outdoors except it is going to rain and fighting the dilemma of disappointing her son vs lying to the viewers she says it is going to be sunny, so she must use fans, hang gliders, and anti-rain dances to make it not rain!

Highway Star--A boy's dog takes a nap on a pickup truck, winds up 300 miles away, and has to make his way back home!

ABC--The pet cat must save a wandering baby from the perils of a construction site!

Believe--An out-of-work down-on-her-luck singer must work her way up to her dreams!

Bad Song/Great plot:
The Anthem--A baseball star falls from grace, and becomes a theme park worker, but must use his baseball skills to help defeat a rogue lava monster!

Good Songs/Good Plots:

Sorry for making the last hint really weird, this one is much easier to offset it :)

#83. Adventures of Lolo (NES, 1989)
Lolo, originally a Kirby boss of all things, stars in this very neat and pretty involved puzzle-"platformer" game for its time. Being a top down, theres no actual "platforming" but reaction times still matter in this game. On each map, the goal is to collect all the tokens, get the treasure, and get to the exit. But there are enemies who wish to kill you, each with their own puzzle-like mechanics, like the skulls that zoom in on you, the guys that only stay on the grass, or the totems that shoot you dead if you simply cross their path. So between pushing blocks around, using water and other obstacles smartly, routing, using your one-time power up per level (like a bridge or turn an enemy into a block), and the timing of when to get what all matters, since getting the final token generally wakes up all the enemies, but you need all the tokens before you get the treasure. It's a great puzzle game that isn't too hard but not too easy, and the levels are satisfying to solve. Think of it as sort of a precursor to Baba is You, but much less complicated. Again, maybe I shouldn't have it this high, but its a satisfying and unique puzzle game, and impressive for its time.

God, that repetitive music though.

Next up: SHOES!!! ...nevermind.

#84. Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4, 2018)
This is very simple, because the gameplay here is very good, but not great (its fun but repetitive). It's all about the traversal. Getting around feels FANTASTIC and that's really all you can ask out of a Spider-Man game. I never played that PS2 one that everyone loves- I can't imagine that has better control than this one. Youcan move around in so many ways, and ways to do it QUICKLY. From just swinging, to wall climbing or running (vertical or horizontal), to the side-pull-shots (not sure what to call these, the game had a name I forgot... when youuse the side of a building or something to help stabilize your forward momentum), to the point launches where you zip to a point and just propel yourself forward. It feels incredible. The story does good work here too. Even with blowing through a ton of villains, it doesn't feel the way that like, Reimi's Spider-Man 3 did. The boss fights are good (nice shoutout to one of them in Miles Morales), there's enough collectibles and things to do to keep you satisfied, and it's a solid difficulty level on the upper difficulties. The weapons and gadgets are good, but could be better. I do like the wind blast one where you can just blow foes into the air and then knock them off a roof. I also really enjoy how "anatomically correct" Manhattan is, with capturing a lot of the big locations being a big sidequest of the game. Though they didn't do a good job with New Jersey :(

Peter and Doc Ock's relationship is great also, as is the voice acting from everyone (especially JJJ, of course. Him as a Sean Hannity-esque political pundit with a podcast is perfect for him, newspapers being not really a thing these days).

Coolest thing you can do of course is climb to the top of the WTC or Avengers Tower, whichever you prefer. Or both. And dive off with a ground slam. Then casually high five the dude you landed next to.

You can fast travel too for hilarious scenes like this but... you're goddamn Spider-Man why would you ever fast travel?

Next up: A puzzle game starring an enemy from a certain mascot's game. (No it's not Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine again)

#85. Pokemon Puzzle League (N64, 2000)
Or Tetris Attack or Panel de Pon or whatever you'd like to call it. This is my favorite of the Tetris-style puzzle games, edging out Puyo Puyo and friends just a bit. Don't have toomuch to say about the game itself. You know what it is. It'sfun to set up combos and fight garbage. I haven't played too much of the other "variations" but I got this game originally because it was Pokemon and a puzzle game, so that was most ofthe draw I needed. There's a fair amount of variation in this game to keep it relatively fresh from the 1P campaign, to Two player (always a favorite), to the puzzle and challenge modes, andto the 3D mode which was pretty spiffy for its time! I think on a good day I could definitely have this higher on my list. Maybe I wish there was a little more content, but that's not really possible for a game like this so its fine! Also, shoutout to the GBC game Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for being a decent port (albeit game-based over show-based) and working in Gen 2. It's not nearly as charming though.

Plus a game having a direct connection to the show was a hoot. All the voice clips and Pokemon calls really make this stand out, from "Work Harder Ya Butt!" to "Oh Golf Club" to "Pasta Finale!" they never ge-, wait that's not what they're saying????

Next up: A game starring a canonical Mets fan, how can I not have it on my list???

As mentioned just now in the chat too, it was definitely "the right game at the right time". MM9 was a great idea, that launched a bunch of other great games, because it was very well done.

#86. Mega Man 9 (Wii, 2008)
I realize as I do these write ups I struggle to come up with differences in different games in the series when I haven't played them in a while, and just going off of a memory, but mostly I remember the excitement I had to play a game like this in 2008, because as I recall, or at least personally, being able to play a new NES-like sprite game, an official Nintendo one at the very least, was an innovative and unique thing to be able to do. So I played it and took to it. For some reason, Mega Man 10 is not on my Top 100 (though I do like that game), and I'm not really sure why. I draw Mega Man 9 sort of in parallel to Mega Man 2 since you didn't have your later Mega Man game powers, like charge beam or slide, but of course that gives the game its own unique style, which works with this game's mechanics.
I also remember this game being one of the more difficult Mega Mans (could be wrong here though), which was enjoyable. The music really knocked it out of the park in this one, what with some of the best Mega Man themes ever in Tornado Man's theme and the Wily Stage we're the robots (I like Hornet Man's also). Hornet man also has a pretty funny weapon, the Bee Tracker or whatever it happens to be called. Also thanks Capcom for finally having a female robot master! The ending where Wily is like plz forgive me and Mega Man is like hey uh you've done this like 9 other times, showing the clip with Wily begging on the ground is a good one too.

Quick shoutout also to some Mega Man 10 stuff since I won't talk about it otherwise, but the different characters (Mega Man, Bass, Protoman) all being unique was great. Plus I think it had overall better robot master design- especially Sheep Man, Blade Man, and Strike Man (A BASEBALL!!!!--also the best theme in MM10)

One joke I always appreciated that I don't know how many other people notice, or if it's even supposed to be a joke at all, but I always thought as the MM Classic series progressed, when they drew the lines between the stages in the Wily's Castle stages "map", the lines got slightly more and more twisted and complicated as the series went on. So in MM9 (and I think 10 also), they just went goddamn nuts all over the place with these lines between stages, before drawing a simple straight line between the last 2 levels. Always makes me laugh. I'm weird.

Up Next: If you don't get this game, you better work harder, ya butt

#87. Donkey Kong Country (SNES, 1994)
I've always enjoyed these games graphical style, they are very appealing. pun. This game has solid music, the 2 monkey system is sort of interesting, if not super fleshed out. There's a ton of secret area/barrels and things to collect. It controls reasonably well. The environments are nice and varied. There's animal buddies that are fun to use. And you have a classic fake out ending, that I'm sure killed everyone the first time around, what a troll!

The game boy version, Donkey Kong Land, was one of the first games I ever played and I liked that game a good bit, so to play that fleshed out in Super Nintendo style was neat.
Saving your game was a pain in the ass in this game, and while I like having a select map, having some of the alternate areas here felt kind of unnecessary, but oh well. Still fun. Bosses could've been better.

Next up: There was a 12 year gap between this game and the one before it.

#88. Final Fantasy VII (PS1, 1997)
FF7R is a "Sequel" yeah.
I played FF7R first, and then this, and like I said, that gave me a completely unique perspective, on both games really. So I played this in 2020, long after the idea of the jRPG has burnt out on me, and it still have. I played a lot of this game on multiple speed, and most of the optional superbosses with the invincibility cheat on (I did all the main game stuff legit). It's a jRPG, the gameplay is fine and runs dry. The story intrigued me and I enjoyed it enough though for me to make it on the list. After learning a lot more in-depth about the characters in remake, seeing them fleshed out in this setting, was enjoyable. Plus, it sort of built on the different ending of Remake for me, having not known anything that comes after Midgar. There was so much I didn't know about this story, and I really had no knowledge of it at all besides, yknow, that one obvious thing. The characters are all well-developed. The story is a bit confusing and meandering, but the narrative on the whole is good. And the presence of Sephiroth, plus Cloud's inner struggles are presented in a cool format. If I played this game back in the day, it would probably be a top 25 game for me, and the fact I can still like a jRPG even now says a lot. Also I love the 5 minute animation of Supernova.

Also yeah, people I betloved the animation and stuff at the time. The cutscenes look good for a game from its era, and some of it is still not bad. But obviously not why it's here.

Oh right the music is good too! obviously.

Can't wait to see our Zolomy friend in HD in Remake 2!

Next up: A platformer where the objective, and the collectibles, are fruit.

#89. Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch, 2019)
The half of this game's functionality I don't play of course is building stages cuz ain't nobody got time for that. But hey, if you're 100x more creative than me, maybe you've made some good levels I enjoy playing. The story mode in this was a welcome addition over Mario Maker 1 (and the fact it's on Switch, not Wii U), plus all the new mechanics they added and still continued to add to make levels feel great. For me, I love going into search and finding medium or expert difficulty levels and just playing the best ones and you can always find some great stuff. I don'tlike the ultra hard kaizo stuff, but setting it to expert gives you around a 5-10% difficulty completion level which I think is about perfect for a challenge, and medium a bit higher if you want something easier but not a joke level. All the new mechanics like playing as Link is fantastic also (and no, not Amiibo link from Mario Maker 1, though them taking out the amiibo skins was one thing the first game had up on this one). All the physics in this feel like they work exactly like they should, and there's always new tricks to discover.

Mostly it's just fun to mess around and play lots of creative levels, be they just well-designed tough ones, puzzle levels, creative ones involving movement or quizzes... the "hold right to win" levels and ones that just make music don't appeal as much and it takes a bit of effort to avoid the pure meme levels... but hey I even enjoy going into Endless mode, or anything full random and just playing peoples complete random crap. Just something appealing even with the terribly made levels. It also made the earlier Mario games "feel" good on par with the newer ones which is neat, and the mix and matching of mechanics always makes this feel fresh. I can always pick this game up and play a couple of popular levels... just make sure to avoid those dumb autoplayers. Thank god for advanced search mode.

Also sometimes you just want to fight like 50 tiny flying cat bowsers at once.

Next up: Playing this game's sequel first provided a unique perspective probably not many other people have had. For both the first game and the sequel (this entry is the first one).

#90. Ghosts 'n Goblins (NES, 1986)
First things first, I didn't beat this game legit, SORRY. But I played it mostly legit, I was trying to be sparse with my save states. I forget when I first played this game, butI kind of remember gravitating to it around the first time I had access to alternate ways to play it, and I liked it! The music, the setting, even the difficulty had the appeal to it. From the first time you fight the Red Devil, I wanted to beat the game, and lo and behold, it happened eventually. But it wasn't until much later. Anyway, I dunno. I'm struggling to findstuff to say about this game. I like difficult shooty platformers!

Next up: A game where I don't play with the main part of its functionality. This is also my first repeat so far on someone else's list.

#91. Mega Man 2 (NES, 1989)
Oh boy its a Mega Man. I probably have this Mega Man game lower than those of you who have this game on their list; it's not my favorite Mega Man game (spoilers), but it's still one I greatly enjoy. I think this is the easiest Mega Man game, which is probably a good thing, because it's so accessible, and it's all thanks to the Metal Blade, one of the most broken weapons I know of. I do kind of wish it were a bit harder, but the fact this was the first Mega Man game to really put it all together and stick the landing is really easy to see. Fantastic music all around, I think the best in the series (though it doesn't have my favorite overall single Mega Man track). Also a very replayable game, I think it's a solid length in not being that long. Anyway, this, like all Mega Man games. Controls great. Solid weapons. Fun boss fights. The difference in making Mega Man 2 stand outisits approchability, its music, and its imba weapon, which is fun but feels a bit unfair.

Well since it was guessed

#92. Ratchet & Clank (PS4, 2016)
I am a simple man who loves me Ratchet & Clank. Sorry to pull punches here because I'll be talking more about this series later, but for this one in particular I'll say that while I don't remember too many specifics of this game (because they have started to all blend together after a while and thats why this one is a bit lower, but really that's a good thing to me), but it being the first (well, only) one on the PS4 is key. This game feels great, as all the Ratchet & Clank games do since the very second one on PS2. The first Ratchet & Clank game is garbage, 100% due to its awkward control scheme where its basically impossible to move shoot while aiming at the same time, since it has no strafing and a dedicated first person view. The series shines as a 3d shooter-platformer, with special reverence towards having cool weapons and puzzles. The story is usually a weak point, and no exception here, but it doesn't need one. The "comedy" definitely passes off as pretty lame though.

So this one, I was glad finally came over to the PS4, though we only got one for that system. I do remember some of the weapons, notably the gun that pixelates your enemies. I liked the weapon tree mods the weapons each had, just as it felt like some extra nice things to unlock. Captain Qwark is a delight as always. I think this one had more nonplatforming sections than some of the others, and I don't remember finding those as enjoyable as the main parts of the game.

And that's really all I have to say about this one. This is a great reboot, that looks and feels great. Bring on Rift Apart!

Next up: A game with one particular really broken weapon.
