https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/healthcare/uk-bans-puberty-blockers-national-health-service

The United Kingdoms National Health Service announced on Friday it plans to ban puberty blockers outside of the use of clinical trials as well as increasingly to regulate gender transition treatments for minors.
We have previously made clear the intention that the NHS will only commission puberty suppressing hormones as part of clinical research, the NHS announcement said.

The 25-page document for U.K. practitioners specifies that the NHS will adopt a holistic, multi-disciplinary integrated approach to assessing and responding to an individuals needs and will center on fully involving the child or young person and their family.
A significant proportion of children and young people who are concerned about, or distressed by, issues of gender incongruence experience coexisting mental health, neuro-developmental and/or personal, family or social complexities in their lives. The relationship between these presentations and gender incongruence may not be readily apparent and will often require careful exploration, the report reads.
The NHS also acknowledges the increased prevalence of mental health needs and neurodevelopmental disorders among youth that have been identified as comorbidities of gender dysphoria. The new protocols now require expertise for the direct assessment of autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other forms of neurodiversity to be included in a minors treatment plan when addressing gender dysphoria.
CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER
Children who have already been treated with puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by their medical providers, but the NHS strongly [discourages] sourcing puberty suppressing or gender affirming hormones from unregulated sources or from on-line providers that are not regulated by UK regulatory bodies.
Republicans in Missouri, Louisiana, and Florida have taken steps in recent months to enact similar bans on gender-transitioning medicine for minors, and the issue has become a central feature of the 2024 presidential election campaign season.

It doesn't look like there was a topic about it here.

Outside of the Nordic and most western countries, the vast majority of Europe is still very traditional. Gay marriage still has a long road in Europe.

Western Europe makes up a big portion of Europe though. According to wikipedia 33 of the 50 countries and the 8 dependent territories in Europe recognise some type of same-sex union, among them most members of the European Union (24/27).
I guess I just assumed Estonia to be closer to the western side due to its online presence.

Australian police are investigating after at least 65 women received used condoms in the post.
The letters, which also contained handwritten messages, were sent to addresses in south-eastern and eastern Melbourne.
Police believe the victims are linked and part of a targeted attack.
All of the women who have come forward attended the city's Kilbreda College private girls' school in 1999.
Most of the victims received multiple letters, all with used condoms enclosed, police said.
Investigators were carrying out DNA and handwriting analysis to track down the perpetrator, said Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Grant Lewis.
The women's addresses were obtained from a yearbook they put together as pupils 24 years ago, he said.
Some letters were handwritten, some typed, but all contained "suggestive and threatening... sexualised " messages, he said.
"Our message to the offender would be 'you need to stop this' and 'we will find you'".
"We don't know what the connection to the school is. It might be an ex-student, an employee... it could be someone who found this yearbook in the rubbish and they're playing a game".
Many of the letters were sent to the women's old home addresses and were opened by their parents, who were traumatised and distressed by the ordeal.
One victim, Bree, told reporters of how her mother called to ask whether she should open an "odd letter" she had received. She asked that her full name be withheld.
"Her reaction was quite shocked and upset. She was really grossed out and her and dad were worried thinking someone was targeting me".
Bree said the similar complaints snowballed and she soon formed a Facebook Messenger group among fellow Kilbreda College alumna.
"It seemed to be every day or two days more and more girls would say 'I've got one'."
"It's beyond a joke now. We just want it to stop. One of the girls has received four letters and she's just over it."
"We've got no idea who it could be. No one can seem to find a connection. We can't think of anybody who has a grudge against us."
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
Kilbreda College, an independent Catholic school for girls, was founded by the Brigidine Sisters in 1904 and has some 900 pupils enrolled.
The college is assisting with the investigation, police said.
Principal Nicole Mangelsdorf told Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper that the school had written to former pupils encouraging any other victims to come forward to the police.
"We have no reason to believe this matter is related to any recent data breach at the college", she said.

Sounds like the plot of a horror movie

Oof I originally read that as "pays millions of dollars to sexual abuse cases every year" as in helps fight sexual abuse instead of paying for their lawyers against their own sexual abuse cases.

This is inspired by a story arc in the Spider-Man comics. Doc Ock was dying and he managed to switch minds with Peter. Sending Peter into the dying Dock Ock body and Doc Ock survived in Peter's body and became Superior Spider-Man

As for how Peter got back, I actually am not sure. I read some of Superior Spider-Man but I don't think I ever read the ending

But my point is you can't know it's the girl in her own body in that picture

I meant that I doubt Otto had sent the girl into his dying body like with Peter since Otto is a good guy in this story.

A man was caught pleasuring himself while kneeling over a helpless seagull in a bizarre sex act.
David Lee, 40, was caught on camera performing a sex act while watching pornography on his mobile phone.
He admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the bird at 1am last August in an alleyway in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
The case was heard at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court where gulls on the roof could be heard calling out as the bench heard evidence.
Prosecutor Lesley Burgess told the court Lee chased one bird before picking up a smaller gull and was caught on CCTV looking at his phone while holding it.
He then pulled up his pants and gave the bird a "little kick", the court heard.

Florida education officials allegedly told a school teacher that she was under a misconduct investigation after, her friend claimed, she showed students the Disney animated film Strange World.

The purported investigation following this alleged showing of Strange World comes amid rightwing Republican governor Ron DeSantiss attacks on educators that include book censorship and limitations on discussions of race and sex as he jockeys for his partys presidential nomination with anti-woke talking points.

The film involves a group of explorers who try saving a mysterious land from losing its vital energy source, per Variety. It also has a prominent gay character a rarity in childrens animation.

Zee included a photo of a letter from the Florida department of education, stating that following receipt of a receipt of a complaint, this office has determined an investigation is warranted into allegations that you engaged in inappropriate conduct.

If you have evidentiary witnesses or documents pertinent to the case, send them to this office no later than two weeks from receipt of this letter, the alleged missive continues. CBR.com first reported on Zees Tweet.

The alleged letter does not state specific allegations against this teacher. The Florida department of education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In response to a Twitter user who said that teachers who break the law find themselves under investigation, Zee wrote: She has signed permission from every parent in the classroom to show Disney & Dreamworks movies in class, even offering lines to specify specific movies parents didnt want shown. Not one exception was written down, so no she didnt break the law. Try again, doofus.
