The movies have absolutely nothing to do with the success of the books. How old are you? You can't even remember how massive the books were pre-movie?

He's definitely one of the worst. I've worked for most of the major financial institutions. Wells Fargo is the best, Chase is unquestionably the worst.

Every time I lose my job I land on my feet. I went from a crap ass middle income job, to a decent job that hit 6 figures sometimes, and was part time remote, to a solid 6 figure job that was full time remote, and now I was laid off two months ago with 16 weeks severance pay. I was fired from one of those jobs too (not this last one). I'll find another good job again. My resume is better every time I'm on the market.

Seinfeld was a big hit throughout the entire 90s - it's still often regarded as THE comedy of that era, it definitely wasn't a five-minute-wonder or anything.

However, I'm totally in agreement with your overall sentiment, because I think the popularity of the show (and the man) was undeserved. Again, I've only seen a few episodes, but among them are some of the show's most famous, including "Master of Your Domain," which is often considered one of the best episodes in TELEVISION HISTORY. And like... it never clicked for me. If 90s Simpsons was the NBA, Seinfeld was high school junior varsity.

Hell, Charles Barkley has said more funny things about San Antonio than Seinfeld has in his entire comedy career.

I was saying his stand up was big for a short period of time, which launched him as the show runner of a far more popular sitcom.

IIRC the blue haired chick would just walk around naked some episodes. Did they just skip those episodes?

Maybe Terranigma picks up. I didn't think it was bad, but I lost interest before beating it, so I can't rightly comment. It just seemed like it wasn't as action packed as Soul Blazer, but was very baby's first adventure RPG in terms of story. So if I wanted I could just play Illusion of Gaia or Soul Blazer if I wanted a better experience on story or action.

But I could tell it was still a solid game.

The village expansion elements of Soul Blazer are so fun though.

It's bizarre how much self awareness he lacks, but not surprising that he doesn't actually understand comedy.

He was big for like 5 minutes in the 90's, and his show was highly successful. He'll be rich for the rest of his life because of it.

But what he doesn't realize is that he was the least funny, least talented person on his show. All of his success comes from his supporting cast and Larry David who wrote the show. But if you see him on any talk show, he has this undeniable air of arrogance that he clearly feels he earned.

This game is fun no matter how many times I go back to it. I like it more than Terranigma but not as much as Illusion of Gaia.

TC, the ironic thing is, most of the guys here super obsessed with local politics, who make daily topics about Trump have extremely minimal societal interaction.

So, basically even though politics and social progress are important issues that go hand in hand, the people on here are not even necessarily that impacted with politics as a whole, because the most social interaction they have is going to the grocery store. Basically it just changes what subject they'll talk about or if they're playing offense or defense.

I agree, TC. Tifa is a great character and her personality really shines in Rebirth.

Survival horror games. Initially I got stuck on the piano puzzle on Silent Hill 1. I was only aware of the FAQs. I was tired of getting stuck on parts of a video game all weekend. It was cool to finally have a place to help you get over these road bumps.

Ironically, Silent Hill 2 was how I discovered the boards. There was a plot breakdown/discussion FAQ. Probably still here, and it dissected a lot of really cool stuff that went over my head. I wanted to talk to other people about it, and I found the boards as a result.

It would be a little while more before I found there were committed social boards.

Boards were fun back then. People would talk about their job, or their day at school, or speculate about video games. They didn't just post about politics all day every day. There was even some guy that made a topic about catching his girlfriend cheating on him, and fighting the dude who did it in the park.

There's nothing wrong with tattoos in general or them not being counter culture anymore. Some tattoos are really beautiful/imaginative and I find attractive.

The issue is that neck tattoos give prison vibes. Which I guess still qualifies them as counter culture so if that's the reason you're getting a tattoo I guess that's the place to put it.

He actually had a melt down because I told him he's annoying once.

He responded posting a picture of him and a girl, as some sort of gotcha even though it had nothing to do with what we were talking about, and he got warned as a result of what he said to me in the post. Later, he complained that it was a conspiracy that I was some alt of a group of incels that were mad at him over a completely unrelated topic and that I was stalking his posts to get him modded. He posted this on the martial arts board, which is one of his havens, I guess, and at the time I'm glad I didn't have him blocked because they made fun of him there too.

He refused to block me for whatever reason, maybe he wasn't doing it back then. He has an annoying gimmick on C&GN where he mentions the Inhumans for no reason, and even though his topics were never getting any replies he wouldn't let it die. I just wanted him to admit Moon Knight was a disappointment, but he has too much pride to admit when he's wrong about something. I decided I enjoyed the boards more when he's in Purgatory so just made it permanent.

It's the tackiest part of your body to have a tattoo. Genuinely makes me wonder if the person lives or has ever lived in a trailer park.

I get fandom feel they need to make changes to keep the site viable. But if the changes they make continue in the same vein as they have so far it wont be a site Ill personally want to visit.

This is what I dont get with guys like sterolizer. They keep proselytising about the need for fandom to make changes to stop the site from dying. But if that results in the social boards closing the site might as well be dead to a lot of the existing user base who will leave. There is nothing to be gained supporting the site to transition to something none of the long term users want to visit anymore.

You should just block him. There's no reason to discuss anything with that guy.

They aren't helping things, but this board in particular has a lot bigger problems.

It also inspired Jo Jo's, so at least something good was made due to Fist of the North Star inspiration.

I would be more interested in a Cyberpunk game in the vain of Baldur's Gate than I will ever be in the first person Cyberpunk game that bragged it was going to change our lives by letting you customize your characters genitals, but I'm kind of sour on Cyberpunk from the bad marketing angles it took and how it fell flat on its face.

Plus Cyberpunk has always seemed infinitely less imaginative than Shadowrun. It's like a third of what makes Shadowrun cool, and it's so on-the-nose. I couldn't even enjoy the anime.

Oh, yea to be fair I doubt they own the exclusive rights to the game. Google seems to imply the rights are a bit of a cluster right now but the the videogame rights are owned by Microsoft. I guess my point was more with Harebrained making 3 successful, well-designed and well-received Shadowrun games it doesn't seem likely that the owners would give it to Larian if they wanted to make a new one, rather than the studio that's already done it (which would probably mean it'd be a lot cheaper for them to make a new game over Larian).

To be honest, the two games are totally the same. I can't even rightfully say that I think Larian did a better job, it's just clear they were given a much higher budget for that project.

The games are so similar though, I want a Shadowrun that is that high budget, with that much thought put into all the different ways you can approach everything. Whether it's got Harebrained or Larian's name on it.

I kind of agree with their decision, to be honest. They made a game and released it to near universal acclaim and did it without any live service nonsense. Anything they build on that will likely be seen with a more critical eye. Better to walk away at your peak and do something new with all that goodwill than have it whittle away over time as expectations become impossible to meet.

They would be a great studio for Shadowrun, but Harebrained Schemes currently owns that license (they made the recent shadowrun trilogy of wrpgs). My guess is they'll either go for an original IP or stick to fantasy and do a warhammer fantasy game.

I didn't know if Harebrained owned Shadowrun, or was just put on the project.

They did a great job with the series and I especially liked Dragonfall, it's just been so long since we've gotten anything from them.

I saw some news that they have no interest in continuing to make Baldur's Gate games.

Weird to me, because I feel like Baldur's Gate is one of the only series that has this style of table top turn based RPG that's almost like FFT and an RTS combined.

I love the game and want more and I've always loved the Shadowrun series, from as far back as SNES.

Harebrain studios made their own Shadowrun games as an homage kind of, and they are very similar to Baldur's Gate, albeit on a lower budget.

This got me thinking, since Larion seems to specialize in this table top genre of turn based RPGs, do you guys think it would be reasonable to expect or hope for a Larion Shadowrun game? I know it's not as big as D&D but it's arguably the next biggest table top game, at least that I'm aware of.

I'm just not familiar with any of their other work and found it bizarre they dismissed any sequel or DLC since they must be on to new projects following their success.

The amount of PR that this kid gets and the donations to follow will greatly outweigh his profits from the stand.

Still, absolutely disgusting. This is about as low as you're going to get. I hope the judge throws the book at the perps and throws them in a max security place so they can get their asses beat on a daily basis. This isn't something that's going to win you respect in the yard.

The least believable part of this whole thing is that Sunhawk wouldn't be used to and anticipate ghosting by this point in his life. He's like a 45 year old man.

Too much focus on Muscle Man, particularly Muscle Man and Starla episodes. Too much Relationship Show, and it really highlights what a piece of garbage Mordecai is. I get that Rigby was maturing, but his horrible friendship with Mordecai where he doesn't even seem like he likes him is what made the early seasons so funny. Not enough Death Kwon Do. Mostly the show just kind of meanders and finds itself again by Season, but the seasons are so long it's hard to hold on.

Still a good show. Wondering if Adventure Time nose dives like this.
