I straight up skipped that rock concert case halfway through. It was unbearable. I'm trying to play through dual destinies, but the overall style just feels so different from the original trilogy. Everything is so overly stylized with weird seto kaiba esque clothing, extremely over the top generic anime antagonists, and looney characters. I've been having a lot of trouble motivating myself to finish up the second case. I understand the original Ace Attorney had its fair share of mysticism, but in general it felt a lot more grounded. Dont recommend the versions that are just the text without the interactive part. If you like it, there are some sequels as well. Not sure what visual novel precisely means, but as long it is an interactive story driven text based game, and has a degree of logic and puzzle solving like the Phoenix Wright games did. Just looked it up. That game sounds exactly like something I wanna play, and it's on iOS. Will buy it tonight. Veggeta_MAX posted... Hotel Dusk Room 215I remember when this game came out. I honestly had very little expectations for these games and they blew me the hell away. Even in Trials and Tribulations, I thought Godot was going to be some annoying character just based on the way he looked. But holy damn, he had some of the most memorable dialogue in the entire series, and his personal story as it ties into the overarching story of the entire trilogy is astounding. Are there any text based games on this level of quality, or is the Phoenix Wright trilogy the peak for this genre? --- |
