As awesome as it would be to get a Pokemon game where the pokemon look like they do in Detective Pikachu; theres no chance. They're targeting kids; the minimalistic cutesy look is part of the brand.

It's not about the style.

Even if Gamefreak is going for a simple more minimalist style, there's no excuse for such low graphical fidelity... they make too much money for that. They could easily go with the Fortnite style and it would fit perfectly.

I thought it was Ar-soos, because he's basically the Zeus of Pokemon.

I would definitely go with female, overall. their writing and the way their vocalize themselves just hits more points than a lot of male singers IMO.
