Ok there's no flying cars, no hologram sex, and you have to be in the right city with enough rain to have the neon shine and bustle for that futuristic vibe.

If multiple people have interpreted you in the exact way that your words came across and that was not your intention, maybe you worded it badly. Seeing as youre so keen on humility, you could always acknowledge that and clarify rather than insulting other users.

I would agree that it seems your teachers failed you.

Some yeah, but the school in general.

I was often shoehorned in too low a class and they said "well you have to stay there for a year before we can move you to a class where you actually learn things, because reasons" so years were wasted in various subjects learning literally nothing and answering all the questions because I already learned it in the primary school before I moved.

Stuff like history was interesting enough but useless, I would've been far better off learning life and household stuff. There were some teachers that helped some struggling kids though, but they're really rare.

It turned out alright for me because I just self-taught and took some exams later by myself, for the convenience of having more As, but I didn't really need to and it's not like anyone checks validity.

We gave up on "tracking" decades ago, because it was "racist" somehow or something, while at the same time insisting on "mainstreaming" the developmentally-hindered Thus, all we have is an education system targeted slightly below the average student, that isn't really useful for anyone.

Schools are weird.

Even when schools supposedly separate kids by skill level for the year, it just exacerbates the issue of misteaching.

I can't get mad at you for thinking I'm lying because it IS utterly ridiculous that this is the situation in the UK. US seems to be learning calculus and crap and we have this.

All I can say is I've no reason to lie on some thread that's going to disappear from existence in a few days, on a random video game website with a few dozen of strangers I don't know and will never meet. *shrug*

When Google can teach more in 10 minutes than what people 'learned' in years of school, there's major issues.

I'm thinking teen years really though, that's such a bizarre bubble of random insecure unqualified adults following a schedule, and that's what I was thinking of.

My P.E. teacher was teaching biology and sex ed. He taught me that the pill goes up the lady's wooha!

Still though, I don't know about primary school teachers getting mansion money.

Because without teachers you wouldn't have engineers, surgeons, etc. They're the absolute most important building block for society and they serve to be recognized as such.

Maybe if you stayed in school past 3rd grade you'd understand that's called discipline so people didnt talk back to their teachers and "correct them".

It's not about making yourself tired or your small testicles.

The question asks what you think about.

A good surgeon saves lives, a good pilot saves lives, a good teacher just makes the day a bit easier but may not actually teach anything.

How long have you been building that?

I go to sleep quick, so it takes me 5 nights just to imagine opening a car door and getting in.

I think I know what you mean. When I'm going to sleep (or wondering if I'm awake yet or if there's more sleep in me), I'll know I'm nearly asleep because my mind will suddenly think up something random like a dream, or take what I imagined and suddenly something happens that I didn't actively think 'myself'.

I think of cosy things, like laying in a moving RV in a storm.

When I played Football Manager, I thought of the matches, tactics, squad.
